Hello. This is the story that I am currently writing, "Mutagen: The Plague", which will be about 12 chapters long, minus the prologue. Also, this young children should not read this. I have taken out the blood, gore, and language from the original to make it more friendly, but discretion is still advised. This is part one in a trilogy. Enjoy.
My name is Jonathan Grahm...
This all started as an average day in the military... But it ended in a nightmare.
Mutagen: The Plague
Prologue-
We were sent on a simple mission, a kind we had done many times before. Find the terrorists lab, kill them, and destroy the lab. Supposedly, they were working on a new sort of bio-weapon. I wasn’t sure how bad it was, but all I wanted to do was finish this and get home to see my wife and daughter. We flew in via helicopter. This wasn’t a huge facility, and it was well hidden, so they didn’t really need radar. We weren’t even sure where the dang thing was. When we arrived at the point where we thought the facility was, we were already on our feet and ready to go. It was the middle of the night, and snowing. We jumped out of the helicopter, and loaded our weapons. There was me, the standard trooper, with an M16 and a couple grenades. I was a normal sized, Caucasian, brunette, brown-eyed soldier. Carl is the sniper of the group, always with his trusty Dragunov sniper rifle. He’s very tall and lanky, with very pale skin, dark blonde hair, and blue eyes. Rick is the heavy weapons specialist, with a grenade launcher, a SAW machine gun, and an S&W M500 revolver. He is very large and bulky, with dark skin, black hair, brown eyes, a deep voice, and scars all over his body. We’re not sure how we he got them, but we don’t want to ask. Larry is the medic and light weaponry specialist, carrying a TMP, multiple pistols, and a stocked first aid kit. He is a good-sized soldier, but he’s not much muscle. He’s tan-skinned, red-haired, and green-eyed. George is the spy of the group. He only carries a knife, a PP7 pistol, and EZ-GUN tranquilizer. All we know is that he’s small, but extremely fast and strong. He’s always dressed like a ninja with bulletproof armor. We don’t know his hair color. In fact, all we know really about his looks are that he has sky blue eyes, and extremely pale, white skin. We were headed on our way in less than a minute, and the facility wasn’t hard to find. George has the keenest eyes of anyone I’ve ever seen on anyone. He could spot a polar bear in all of this snow easily! From there, after a long trek through the snow, we arrived at the gate to the facility. No guards. I swear, these terrorists get lazier every day. This should be an easy mission. We’re good soldiers, and the only things that could really go wrong are that we die, or the virus gets out, initiating a biohazard, but that would be improbable. How hard could this be? I really think Command goes easy on us sometimes...
