If you have played the game or not, it does not matter. I will write a story concerning a character named "Boom". I will get inspiration from my own game file, and try to copy what I do on the actual game. The story starts... Now.
My father and mother were very proud when I was born, in Vault 101. Vault 101 was one of the many vaults that protected us from the remains of the nuclear war, also called the Wasteland. Anyways, I was perfectly healthy boy, and when they saw me when I got older, using a fancy gadget, they were astounded by my awesomeness. A few minutes later though, my father noticed something about mah mommay. She was having trouble breathing, and in a vain attempt to save her, my father performed CPR.
-One Year Later-
My father asked me to come to him, like an owner to a foolish obedient dog. For his amusement I walked up to him, as I expected him to reward me for such ludicrous behavior. He informed of something about his office, but I was too busy examining the evil teddy bear which I knew was attempting to murder me. We stared at each other for five minutes. But I got tired and started reading some book talking about Strength, Perception, and other crap like that. My father came back, and was (trying) to explain about my mother's favorite quote from something or whatever.
-Nine Years Later-
I arrived at my birthday party. The kids were once again trying to make friends with me I figured, but I shunned them away. Some girl who I don't know gave me some kind of barbarian book. I made a mental note to use it as a torture device against the teddy bear. After that, I received a sweet roll from a lady that I thought was going to die, mostly because of her smell of old people. Then that inconstant robot tried to cut my cake and whaddya know, he broke it. "YOU STUPID ****ING ROBOT YOU RUINED MY ****ING CAKE!!!"
My father told me to calm down, but so I could get my anger out, I taunted Butch the bully and his friends. Butch's friend got so angered that he tried to beat me down, but I retreated to my father, fake-crying. He scolded the friend of Butch, and behind my father's hug I gave him an evil twisted smile.
Father got a message that Jonas, his friend, was ready for their "Surprise Present". He told me to go down where Jonas was, and, giving Butch and his gang a last evil smile, I exited the room. Ignoring some woman wanting to give me a poem, I descended the stairs. Jonas greeted me, and he started saying something about how hard it was making the present I was going to get. I interrupted and said, quite politely,"Can it Jonas. Where's my present?" He said something about how rude I was being ect. ect., but my father arrived. He said basically the same thing as Jonas, and I replied basically the same way. He got the point, and gave me a.... BB gun. "What the **** is this ****!?"
My father said,"Well if you don't like it, I could find someone who appreciates it better."
"Nevermind. What do I get to kill?" I responded eagerly, Butch and his friends in my mind. In response, my father led me to some stupid targeting thing, and I only got to kill a roach thing.
-Six Years Later-
Father was doing his daily health check. After he confirmed I was a perfectly healthy boy, he told me to go take my G.O.A.T. exam, which helped you decide what kind of person you will become. I attempted to convince him I was sick, but told me that when he studied Medicine he made sure to see when kids were sick. Cursing, I walked slowly towards the classroom hoping to be late. On my way, I saw Butch and his friends bullying what's-her-face. I was filled with anger, and before they could say anything I punched Butch once, and realizing what I done, I ran all the way back to my father's room. It was like at the birthday party, except this time I ran behind my father's back and screamed,"HELP DADDY!!!"
My dad, foolish as always, followed my orders and demanded the gang to stop. After he was done with them, they started walking towards the classroom. Still hiding behind my father's back, I threw a pencil at him.. He paused for a second, but thinking better of it, he continued walking. I followed, but from a safe distance. What's-her-face tried to thank me, but I was too cool to listen to her. When I got in the class, I asked my teacher,"Why don't I just give you want I want for the results and not take the test?'
Surprisingly, he agreed, and I managed to skip the exam.
-Three Years Later-
I awoke to find what's-her-face looking at me. She told me my father escaped, and that Jonas had died, and now the leader of Vault 101, AKA the Overseer, thought I was involved in this and sent guards to kill me. She said something about helping me escape, but ignoring her, I took her pistol and my baseball bat, some Stimpaks (Healing Packs), and ran out of the room, eager for an excuse to kill something. As I wondered aroud Vault 101, I bashed some security guard's heads in, and took their batons, guns, and clothes. I found Jonas, dead. I took his clothes, and his glasses that I always despised so much. As I walked down a hallway, look who it was, Butch! He said something about his mother in trouble, blah blah blah. In order to make him shut up I gave him my BB gun and told him to save his mother himself. As a thank you present, he gave me his filthy jacket. Hardly a reward, I "borrowed" some vodka and whiskey around the room. After a couple of minutes, I found the Overseer! I was never informed that he was what's-her-face's dad (well maybe I was but I didn't listen), so I beat down his bodyguard and himself! I looted there bodies and got some pretty sweet stuff. I got the code to open the door to the outside world, and as I felt I was unwanted, I started to go down. What's-her-face came and was apparently angry at me for killing her father. I sighed, and said,"I'll give you a lollipop later, okay?" And with that final note, I went out the door to the outside world.
