Well my AND/XOR gate work:
A|B|AND|XOR ----------------- 0|0| 0 | 0 0|1| 0 | 1 1|0| 0 | 1 1|1| 1 | 0
Half adder:
A|B| C | S ----------------- 0|0| 0 | 0 0|1| 0 | 1 1|0| 0 | 1 1|1| 1 | 0
I make half adder in mistake xD
Full adder have normally 3 inputs xD it would be pretty crazy to synchronizing it ;p
EDIT: oh sorry i did from 1 construction AND and NOR gate not XOR xd

If you want to talk about this kind of stuff, check out the Logic Gate thread. And please see that there's no boards about this topic before you make one.
Sorry, but LockedSorry. My bad. Continue.

Woah, that scared me buggy. I mean, I was ready to click the smite button. =D ANd btw, I will not be able to write the element request today, because I am leaving right after breakfast. gtg, now.

This is about logic gates, true, but it is completely different as well. With logic gates, we have concentrated for so long on thunder-metal systems that we haven't thought of using a different medium (or whatever you want to call it).
laser-metal gates is so revolutionary to those used to TM logic gates that it is best to keep it up!

yea, take a look at M4's laser 5 function 5 numbered calc!
it is soo small
and it works!

Really cool calculator but it's not logic based :/
But nice use off wood and stone.
I use sometime ice - melt when laser move close to it (don't stop the laser beam) and don't make wind. But water kill most metal structures xd (only used in bottom of screen)...

I do believe it was slightly logic based: it only needed AND gates for every number and five AND gates for the operations.

Lol the whole thing uses 125 of them, one input is permanent, and the other isn't.

Well, it wasn't TOO had to make, since they followed the same pattern, right? Just copy/paste.

so we should concentrate on compact AND gates (like a little thing that takes 2 lasers from different directions instead of locations, then we just shoot them in the same place

I think we need to change our memory gate terminology. Since a memory gate labeled false currently allows read laser through, and true blocks said laser, we should consider memory charged with a laser be false, and empty memory be true. This means we can avoid needing a NOT gate to read our memory correctly. And, to follow up the reusable memory, I have reusable numeric laser displays. It's uh, big. Right now. Should be trivial to shrink it by 50% or more, though too much reduces legibility. They aren't exactly ideal for all situations. The overhead is high, so if you have a 1 shot calculator or something, then you'd be better off using a 1 shot display, like the C-4 numbers. As you can see, the display has 7 inputs, one for each bar of a standard LCD-style digit, in the following order from left to right: top-left, bottom-left, bottom, bottom-right, center, top-right, top. These require continuous input, so they pretty much have to be controlled by a memory block that can handle a continuous read. The structure can be rotated to have the input at the top, should this be desired, or moved to the sides if needed, though such modifications are left to the user. (The internal lines of torch are there to clearly mark the internal input locations and directions.) Needless to say, it works best on Shade, as the laser glow fills the bars. In fact, it comes standard with extra metal to reduce non-display laser glow within the display. 0052000000100*02102*01*03*06*05*01w00q00004000v00u01u0B*0200Du0F00Cv0E10E00Ku0J*0Hv0Lu0G*0Bv0Q00N10M*0Pu0O*0Su0X00I10V*0Y10b00au0R00e00Uu0fv0T*0W10dv0j*0cu0iu0Zv0m00g*0ku0o10lu0pu0v10u10xu0tu0z00h00**0s010*0n01200r*13*11*17*16*1901501Bv0qv1Du0wu0.*1801Cu1F014v1E10y01Ku1J*1Hv1Lu1G*1Av1Q01N11M*1Pu1O*1Su1X01I11V*1Y11b01au1R01e01Uu1fv1T*1W11dv1j*1cu1iu1Zv1m01g*1ku1o11lu1pu1v11u10Mp00w00P1zn00T1.y20P0By00x0Jp1zP20t00n0BT0B.20000y2411yw1.T0Bt28P0BP20w0Bo1.02Cx25w2F00DT00.2LP0Bw2BP23x2NP2Bu2B.2R01zT2I02M12EP2Bt2Bn28T2ST2ay2Du0Bp26T0Bs20o0Bn2fo0ST2hx2VT0Br20p2nn2t00ET2q12cT0Bq2Bp2B*2.T2GT2xu2jw2Op2Br20*2sT2lT32000p2k03AT37000z35T3802Ly2i03Aw34T3Dz3F000s2T02bu33P30000r2Bz3Ms3Oy3Ip3Bp3Mz3UT39p3XT3LT3Ds3Vx2r03C03ST0Bz3Z03Hx3fp3YT3dT3aw3K03h03ET3n03k12y03gr3TT3sP2U13up3m03qs3e13zT3c03*T3oP3Rr3w04303tu3Q00AT42r2Bs40u3QT2KP3A04A*2zP4Gq2Bo4803JT2p02QT00o0Bx4D03JP2jP3Cp0GP20q1.p2KT4I03P04S03Fo0GT2g04Rp2602Bq2vn2fp4X03qP3yu49T4Yo2jT2AT4P03Co4Y03gP4m04bT4tr3603qo3RP4vp4gT4xT3iT3Do4.04ap5004PT4BT4tp4fw2LT5103r04zT4p04Lp56o3.r4KT5FP4*w5B05703qz3Mo54y3Ww5Mo5IT59T4405J05OT53T5K055w5ST5805Np5AP2905Nr46r5Wp5e05Wr5hT5U05Gw5b05X05E04u05aP5fo5T05dT5VT5Cz5PT5Zy5RP4YP4JT0Hq4XT2zT5w000t2*T3105ry5.03AP4U028n2tP4Gr5jT5fp2m06CT4rp3MP5LP5fT6306I04A04l05s02BT4ZP4q03qr6F04hP2IT0Hr6K06RT5fq2YT3N06S04Ar3GP6L06fq2Bx2By5Qx2V04Aq5ft3Mu4hT64m2f03gy6fP6io6lT4Nu6X05aT0Bm6tt6x05nP2Bw6tu4KP6iT2Q06fT6M071y5.m2802YP2aP7Ew2204ao24P7E07D02Yt2C10Mo7I07KP7JP2Gy1wu1tu2Kx7807VT6py0Ju6510Eo2Kn4yt7Mu0Bu7Zu4ro2fX20X7iT00X7jX7j065y7Yt0Fo2jn7k07rX0BX7t07s00Ey7o17a03An7vX7uX7*07w10Mu7Zq2KX4GX0A07ku7t*7CX4AX80X7uw7d00Et01q8407ky2Hq7qT8B07vw8Du83X65n7to57X8Kw8Mt8FX00m4PP86r6tX8KX7ey7xq7kx4rX8Un7i07.081u7et8Tm8Vq2Gn2BX8Ku8S186X1zp8PT8fu8nq7k.7tx7*p1.q0Sn8l07vu8s08H07ko3CX7uu8sX8Uo8w024n8yX8Z182t8T08to84m7h08g08E10AX8ou2jX8dP86z8X09Eu8N07su2zX7tv7*t89.2dy8aX2C04P99Is7*q2Iq0Gn2Wy9U07kr7Co7ro7kq95u2Q19919Gw7Cq90P86u9iu8h17yu9o09Fu4ru9ru7fo7e.7xu9t.8a04P80283E89**008A18A3*A2zA2.A2*A60A780H8A48AA12G19n.8a8AB*A9*AH89*.A689*zAK.AI*AN8AB1ADq9w19jqA9zA58A0zAO*AI.AU.AM8AG8Aa*2K80100A1AE1AS8A3zAT8Ab8AL8A0.AZ*AW8Aj12s1Afu9pqAUzAU*As8Aj*AX82Q8Ax.AK*An*AI12z1Aq09FqAIzAuzAi*Aw*AKzAZ.Az8Av86Z1B1u838AV8BE*B38AjzB88Ax*A.8A403S1BCt8F8BEzAt8Ak*AOzBI*B9*BK*A703N1BN19q.9xoARu9pu9y19juBdu7T01h0Bh*1s0Bi*1n0Bk01r*Bl*Bj*Bp*Bo*Br0Bn0Btv1qvBvu7S0BmvBw11xuBg*Bq0BuuBx*C0vBzuB**BsvC40ByuC2*1c*071041CC*CBw0A0mP6

M4 wood+stone isn't an AND GATE. Inputs are not synchronized and it only 1 time use.
I'd would name it more like SWITCH. If it would be able to close it, we could make Switch logic (like in real world it exist)
PS. I didn't think, that studding in Electric University would pay off so fast xD.
=======================
Artanis pretty nice numeric display, but it could be Little smaller.
My 5x3 dot that could use as numeric display is 33% smaller hight and width.
I should be able to show it after new year (really don't want to make it from scratches...
