Exactly. I was the very first member of the month, and I was a staff member back then. It's just not fair to all the other staff members if they can't be MOTM like I did.
I hereby nominate Qwertyuiop.

Well you could take the most active and useful board moderators and the re-incorperate the General Moderator rank.
I feel thats the best idea, concidering it would lower the amount of staff and increase their usefulness, as people reside in multiple boards.
You probably ought to keep the specialized ranks like Contest Judge and, in my opinion, mine (as i have the ability to access profiles synonymous with my duty). Personally i think its a good idea to have an individual moderator for the Shop, because of transactions needing to be handled.

Well, Contest Judge is actually quite a useful rank to have, but I guess we could do away with all Board Moderators: their inability to add warnings to profiles and ban threats nearly makes them useless, especially if there are also Category Administrators. The problem is, people who have power do not easily give it up without grudges - I would need psychological help in implementing the deletion of Board Moderators. Well, I personally think the High Staff are perfectly capable of judging contests etc. Before I left, the High Staff pretty much handled everything, and it went very smoothly. It's not like we need a whole nother group just to judge contests and nothing else. As far as specialized Mods go, I'm not a big fan of the "Board Mod/Admin" idea. I think it's way too narrow. I would much prefer to make them all "Category Mods/Admins" instead, and give them the power to edit profiles. Basically, here is my idea of a perfect(or pretty close to perfect) staff structure: Ranks (from highest to lowest): Site Owner - leave as is Security Admin - leave as is Admin - Admin on all boards/categorys. Number = 1-2Global Mod - Moderator on all boards/cats. Number = 2-4Category Admin - Same as admin, but only has power over one category. Number = 1-2 per categoryGraphic Artist - these would have the same power as a Category Admin, and their power would be over the Graphics category. As always, they would also make graphics for the site, and take custom image requests in the Graphic Artist Shop Board. Number = 2-3Category Mod - Same as global mod, but only has power over one category. Number = 2-4 per categoryAs you can see, the Category Mods/Admin would basically be just a miniature version of the Global Mods/Admins. They would have the same powers as their global counterparts, but they would only have power over one category. Ideally, all staff would be able to edit profiles as well. As far as getting rid of excess staff, we wouldn't have to. With this system, I propose we eliminate the Contest Judge, Board Mod, and Board Admin ranks, and start all those people out as a Category Mod. So in fact, they would be getting a promotion instead of a demotion. I think that'll be very popular with everyone. So to compensate for not eliminating any staff, I suggest that as the member count rises, we hold off on hiring new staff members for a while until we have a good member/staff ratio. Then we can begin hiring again. Well, what do you think?? ;D

HEY
I am a contest judge! And i believe that we actually help with the system, and everybody likes the contests.
I believe that we only need category mods, because the board mods ARE quite useless, have they actually done anything?
And i think that foxtrot's position should stay, maybe as "shopkeeper"

Well i'm not the biggest fan of it personally. I will say our current system has flaws. If we don't have to fire people, and a Restructure is called for, then it shouldn't be a problem. I don't think people will have a problem with Promotions.
As long as i get to stay working on the Shop category.

The Shop board is part of the Graphics category, so under my system, you would be promoted to Graphics Category Mod.

Alright, a new thread would be a good idea.
If no one nominates someone else in a day or two, I think we should make Qwerty MOTM.

Hell with it, I nominate QWERTY
SO i would be a Moderator of the Graphics Board (which needs comparatively less mods, maybe only one or two including myself) and, whos it, our Graphics Artist becomes the Mod of it?
Would the Assistant GAs be Mods or Admins of that board?

Why would we assign MOTM for July at the END of July? It has been stated that this is for August.
