(OOC: I'd say the Frozen Shurikens. Your class reminds me of the Magician, and that's what he'd have by now.)

OOC: I figured it was more like a ranged form of the Gladdy. Magic is one thing, but these are physical weapons. Freezing them wouldn't do much. Are we assuming we went through the caverns?

Hmm. After Castle Gate. I'll be gone this weekend and the next.

Okay.
Temporarily9 approaches the Castle Boss, and bows. The Castle Boss bows as well, and they raise and get to business.
Castle Boss: "Do you have it?"
Temporarily9: "Of course."
Castle Boss: "Good. Our master will be pleased. I think you can safely initiate it tonight. I'll take care of the other one."
Temporarily9: "Which should we target?"
Castle Boss: "The boxer. His new freeze gloves should be perfect for it."
Temporaily9: "Very well. What will you do, when we pass?"
Castle Boss: "I must do anything I can to assist our Master. If that means death, so be it. I always re-spawn right as they leave the room anyway. I'll leave it for you when you kill me. It'll be faster if you go for the weak spot, right under my chin. I'll let you get in close. Go for poison."
Temporarily9: "Very well, I'll keep that in mind. And my payment?"
Castle Boss: "Our master never reneges on his word. You shall receive your payment when your bargain is complete."
Temporarily9: "As I expected. Farewell. We shall meet again tomorrow, no doubt."
Castle Boss: "Certainly. Farewell."
They exchanged bows once more, and Temporarily9 left the castle. The guards once again gave a short bow, and Temporarily9 returned to camp, slightly shaken.
Hey, guys. What did I miss?

Lev saw Temporarily9 walking towards him. Hi, Temporarily9! Done scouting? What did you find?

Well, I didn't find a lot. Those castle guards don't seem too tough, but we may have a bit of trouble with the Sub-Castle Boss. I couldn't pass him; he must be a boss. You know how we can't just skip those guys. I didn't see the Castle Boss.
Temporarily9 took out a card.
Oh, and Lev, I found this card. I'm not sure what it does. Mind taking a look?
As Temporarily9 handed the card he had been given in the town back toward the beginning of the game to Lev, he 'accidentally' pressed it into his glove. The card and the glove melded together, and a compo on the glove was taken.
Oops! Um, sorry! Well, maybe it was a really good card. I guess we'll find out.

Paradox eyed Temporarily9 suspiciously. You're hiding something, aren't you? Temporarily9 seemed to tense for a moment, but Paradox became rather casual Well, we'd best be off. I'd think we'd have an upper hand if we ambushed them.

That would work great, if they were moving. As it is, it's more like they are going to ambush us. But, yeah, I'm not hiding anything. Nothing to hide.
Temporarily9 took everything from his bag. Apart from lotsa onigiri, his shurikens, a Priest's robe (which he quickly threw into the bushes), his ranger license (in the name of some priest), a whole lot of money (some with a bit of blood on it), a copy of Holy Practices (with a copy of the Nonja Guidebook inside, bookmarked to an Enemy Languages section, which he quickly closed), an Emblem of Nonjaness, a couple swords, a basic Priest Staff, and absolutely nothing from a certain back-alley trip.
See? Nothing.

Lev looked at the Freeze Glove. Heck, what can I lose from it? Also, I'm getting my Needle Gloves soon. Doesn't matter.

Indeed, it does not. But at least we can fight the castle boss with them.
Everyone ready?
Temporarily9 walked off toward the castle, into the woods.

Lev followed him into the Castle. The first level was strangely blank. But then there was... the castle boss! He would fight with his freeze gloves because he didn't have the needle glove's mag yet.

Ready for this?
Temporarily9 jumped around, making a big show of dodging the attacks and attacking, but not actually hitting the Castle Boss. Likewise, the Castle Boss was not hitting Temporarily9, but always slightly missing. As a ranged class, he did not need to worry about the large red arrows falling, although he knew they would hurt.

Well that's a bit overblown. JUST HIT HIM, SO I DON'T GET POUNDED! Lev attacked but got pounded by the red arrow. The miss show continued. YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT! HIT. HIM. NOW!!!!!!!

I'd try, but the shruikens keep getting knocked down by those rocks! I can deflect them, you try to attack!
Temporarily9 came down, pushed Lev toward the huge boss, and started shooting the boss's attacks far off target.

Lev threw a punch as hard as he could, and the boss actually stumbled. He threw punches again and again... The boss froze for an instant, And he threw an ENORMUS punch, making the boss fall over. It kicked him about 20 feet away and got up. He was undeterred.

As Vertigo continued to punch, something subtle was happening. The castle boss did a good job of hiding it, but he was actually getting stronger. At the same time, Lev's health was draining, although it was mostly masked by the attacks. This was it. This was the card he had received long ago. The reverse vampire. However, instead of extracting just health, it also extracted power. After a sufficient amount of time had passed, Temporarily9 zoomed in with his electric shruikens. He slid under the boss, fired a short series into the weak point, and the castle boss disintegrated.
Whoa, you look pretty weak. Here, have an onigiri. Did you notice anything about the card? And why is your level down?
