Sweet, we now have 8 people! Also, Soccerking, making a room is not a bad idea, but be careful that the rooms in the collaboration's layout have varying exits and entrances. The room(s) you end up having to make might not share the same layout that your making. Other than that, go right ahead. In fact, I kinda encourage you all to make a room, it'll get you ready for the project. =D

Oh, and about the rooms, what if one guys room makes a big explosion and the pressure wave messes up everything in the next room? And when can we get started? Also, does the pixel(pen-s 1 block) amount of the room include the block outline? This is what I mean: 0030000000100*02102*01*03*06*05*01w00q00004000v00u01u0B*0200Du0F00Cv0E10E00Ku0J*0Hv0Lu0G*0Bv0Q00N10M*0Pu0O*0Su0X00I10V*0Y10b00au0R00e00Uu0fv0T*0W10dv0j*0cu0iu0Zv0m00g*0ku0o10lu0pu0v10u10xu0tu0z00h00**0s010*0n01200r*13*11*17*16*1901501Bv0qv1Du0wu0.*1801Cu1F014v1E10y01Ku1J*1Hv1Lu1G*1Av1Q01N11M*1Pu1O*1Su1X01I11V*1Y11b01au1R01e01Uu1fv1T*1W11dv1j*1cu0.q00x01m1p00Ao0Jq1p100m1rq00o1tx1qx0Bq1x10Mq1um1wo0J.00w00H00r0B10A00Ew01q1.o0Jm1pH0Bp2A029128q1*u0Bm2D000p2Fu2412Ho2Cx2502L128u2Nq2B10Mm2Kp2Mw2Fq2I01vx2Qp2X12O12Vx2b12Sw2Yo2PH2E12g12du2Jx2fq0Bu2T01s12eH2jq2ow2h12r02Rq2t12l02aH2s02Gq2Uu2mH2.u2pq2Zm2W12kq3002z02w02*02qu31039u33o2i03Dw2uu3Cp2cq37m35q2xq3Kx2n03Aq34x3Ou3E12vp3J03B00Dw25o2EH0BH32w3H029H0Bo2Qo2QH3a12yt24H1.H3Z03Rw3bt3i00AH3kH3gq37u3nq3X03l12yv3io3Y03uq3NH3q03Vt3iu3kp3Uq2Zu3nt3y03Vv3ns45q3QH3.q4903G12ym3L03Po3Fp42o4G13603Vm4Eu3Su3I14Jq4Bp4H13T14Oo4Iq3M04Kx48o4T04F14Rq4Uq4P14S14Z04Yu0B.3ir27q4ao1y12a03Vq21x37q4m04lx1z03V*1ku1iu1Zv1m01g*4s00*o2Dr27u2400Eo1yH2ju4*u2Zq35u53o5102Ru56120x3Om2pu54x5Bw2Mo57p2Fm5Co5G128m5I15AH2.m5Lu1.x5E12So5Jq2Jw5F15M039m5O00Ax5Qq2oo5S01vw5Uu5PH5Nw5d05YH5f15R15Vp5Hw5gq4Em5Xq5nw5mx5Z05015k15Kw5gy3w02LH3dH5iq5a10Mx3no3eH5y05Ww5gw3sH3ko5ru2Zw6506106315ju0Bx65o62p5l16C000y5wp6Ap6Gq5.u5e06Bq6M024w25u6F15u16Hx3nu67o0Jy44H5z05su6Np6L06a05h06O06dq5p16Hq6hq6Pq6j06gx6W15tq5T16ix6nu6b16Tq6kx6r06ep6cu5DH6Zu6y06fu6.p0Fw6uH52w72058w6Po4z07106d*4x*7A*1n01h07D*7B04w*7C*7Fv4vv7Ju4uu7L11lu7Mu4t17N17Qu7Pu7S07E*7H*7V07G07Xv7K17R07U07Yu7O07bv7Zu7T*7Iu7d*0k*0710417l*7kw0A0nO5

Well I've thought about the explosions, as well as other details that could mess up rooms, and essentially everyone will have to be careful that the stuff they put in their rooms don't mess up other rooms. Or, if they do mess up other rooms, that the explosion or whatever reaction has a high chance of killing the player, so it wouldn't matter anyways. Or perhaps this explosion will mess up the next couple rooms in such a way that the player won't be able to proceed. In other words, try to avoid using reactions that can potentially mess up other people's rooms and make sure your room won't mess up other rooms (unless you make some sort of compromise).
More will be discussed on that topic on Monday, when we officially start.
Finally the room size: 12x42 does not include the block outline.
One more thing. This is a bit silly but I forgot the website that you go to to remove the spacing for the code (so I can actually upload those lines of codes onto PG). If you could post it here or something alike that would be nice.

If you haven't already (and if it's possible with whatever operating system and internet browser you have), save the site as a Favorite.

Ok, I have a good idea what I am going to make my room be, but I am thinking about some other things too. I'll probably make it have to deal with seed/wood/torch.

Where will we put the entrances? Top to bottom? Left to right? And how big will they be and how high?

My plan is that the ten rooms will be numbered, and on Monday we will each pick a room to make. The reason for that is because each room's entrances and exits are located in different places generally (Room #2 has an entrance from the right and exits up left whilst Room #3 has an entrance at the bottom left and exits to the right). As for how big/high the exits and entrances have to be I sorta have an idea on how to solve that.
I'm thinking that the person who has the room before yours tells you how big they made their exits and you have to work with that accordingly (or attempt to persuade them to make a bigger/smaller exit).
If we go through with this plan, then it would be best if everyone, during the process of room making, estimate the logical maximum size for their entrance and when told the actual size of said entrance, adjust the room accordingly.

Ok, so each room will be horizontal, none of then will be vertical?

No, that would complicate things too much I believe.

It will be something laser-based...

This sounds both like an interesting project and a get-someone-good-to-do-it-for-me project at the same time...

Oh, ouch, stab right into the heart (/sarcasm). I'm not that kind of guy. If I had enough ideas to fill ten rooms I would gladly do the entire thing by myself. I don't, however, and even if I did a collaboration project sounds simply to good to pass up. So I guess this is sorta a "get-someone-good-to-do-it-for-me" project but it is and will always be primarily a collaboration project.
Anyways now that we are through with that I will be posting the list of rooms as well as some criteria that the room makers should be cautious of while room making as soon as I wake up (approximately 6-8 pm according to the forum clock, although for me it'll be 12 or 2 pm). SandMaster you should consider joining... it would be awesome, or something.

That's a risk I'm willing to take.
So now it's time to go into detail about the rooms and start working on them and all (it's a lot). So let's start by talking about the exits and entrances.
-Room 1 is special, the entrance can be anywhere within the room as this is the starting room. The exit however has to be on the left side. -Room 2 has an entrance on the right and exits to the top left. -Room 3 has an entrance at the bottom left and exits to the right. -Room 4 has an entrance at the left and exits to the top right. -Room 5 has an entrance at the bottom right and exits to the left. -Room 6 has an entrance to the right and exits to the top left. -Room 7 has an entrance to the bottom left and exits to the right. -Room 8 has an entrance to the left and exits to the top right. -Room 9 has an entrance to the bottom right and exits to the left. -Room 10 has an entrance to the right and exits to the left.
~By "bottom" I mean the entrance/exit happens to be on the floor, instead of on the wall. By "top" I mean the entrance/exit happens to be on the ceiling, instead of the wall. ~Any exit/entrance that does not have the words "bottom" or "top" involves the loop function. ~Also, rooms 2 and 6 are the same. Rooms 3 and 7 are the same. Rooms 4 and 8 are the same. Rooms 5 and 9 are the same.
Now these exits and entrances can be rather vague. They can differ in size and shape. By this I mean the exit doesn't have to be a single line of metal taking up the entire left wall, you can have the top and bottom parts of the metal wall be made out torch, or just have normal block outlines. Because these entrances/exits can be very different from one and another, everyone will start out, while making their room, with a specific exit but empty space left open for the entrance. Because one person's exit is another person's entrance all the entrances will be made by the person making the room before yours. Once when they tell you what their exit is, you then would have to finish up your room based on what the entrance your given is.
If for some reason you don't like the entrance your given (as in, your room will have a hard time functioning with it) discuss other possible exits for the room maker behind you. Try to work out on an agreement.
Next up is the actual room making. In PG there are many fun and destructive reactions. However some can be a little too destructive at times. For instance there's the nitro and fire reaction. Having a whole bunch of wind going on in a room can be fine and dandy (especially if the room has torch everywhere) but wind, among other reactions can potentially end up messing other peoples rooms up. As such everyone, while making their room, has to make sure that the reactions that occur do not cause any of the elements to leave the room (wind is sometimes fine as loop does not carry wind over). If your reactions are constantly having elements or wind go outside the room, but you still feel it necessary for these reactions to take place, discuss the matter with the people whose rooms will be effected by this element overflow.
We have the list next: Room 1: Room 2: Room 3: BlackMagic (electricity/virus, electricity/metal) Room 4: Room 5: Room 6: Room 7: Room 8: Room 9: Room 10:
To be a part of this, simply copy/paste this list with your name on the room you want to make. In parenthesis put the reactions that will take place in the room you are planning. This is because the project can look a tad bit dull if there are multiple rooms that use the same exact reaction. Now this does not necessarily mean that you are not allowed to use the same reactions as the ones that some one else is using, it just means that you can't set up your room the same way as that person. For instance, I plan to have a couple bolts of electricity hit a city-like mound of virus causing it to turn to electricity, which in turn is absorbed by the metal squares which are everywhere. So you can still have a metal/lightning reaction, so long as you also don't have a virus/lightning reaction at the same time. Also, if you want to be part of this list, but don't know what reactions to do, simply put your name and in parenthesis "undecided".
Also, if you wish to do multiple rooms, put a * by the second and possibly third one. This is because if we happen to get one or two more people, we need to give them a room to do. So that mark signifies that you are willing to give up that room to the other person.
Finally, the rooms should be finished by next Wednesday. The reason for giving more than a week to finish is because of the following: 1. I want people to enjoy Christmas. 2. Friday is supposedly another PG update. I am okay to people changing their room ideas for this update (and in general, so long as the room gets finished). 3. I want the rooms to be well done and well thought through.
Remember to put your name on the room you make and to make the room hard, but not impossible. More time will be given if necessary. Happy room making!
