I don't know if this is already allowed, but I think it would be a good idea to be able to request a personal ban. Reason: Whenever somebody is in a bad mood, is too wrapped up in something and they might be distracted by the forums, they can PM a mod and request a ban, along with a good reason.
This type of ban goes to the requester, and does not mar your account at all. Don't PM a moderator and say "Oh, I don't like this guy, he should be banned." No, the requester will be the banned. Instead of saying the normal title, it will say "Banned per Request", or it may say, instead of on/offline, "Banned by request".
I think it may be helpful. Because for those who have little siblings and they spam/ post nonsense and know the person's password, they won't be able to post there, but as soon as the person gets back on, they can change their password immediately. Also, the requester should give a specific date if they wish to be banned.

If you read it, Dan-ball, you'd see the pont. Please do not ask pointless questions, but instead contribute to this thread. Only a request.
I dunno....'Hibernation' seems rather strange........ I'll consider it....

It seems like a good name, although temporary voluntary banning sounds more official.

Yeah. We should be able to request to ban other people.

No, you shouldn't, SuperMike. Banning yourself is the only reasonable way(Not to mention you need break no rules with this), and requesting to ban someone else is gonna result in abuse and a pointless thing. If such were allowed, I'll just say alot of people are gonna be mad at you.
As for the name, I'll go with 'Voluntarily Banned.'
Thank you all, ~ArchZero
P.S: I think I'd make a pretty good mod for this forum..... I'm getting active, being as helpful as possible with a civil tongue. However, I had a PM sent to TheListo, and he never responded. It's reasonable, since I left for a few months. Maybe I'll send another application.....

Well, keep trying, I guess. Voluntarily banned would be nice, but could there be a short description below it? Like, "User has asked to be temporarily banned"

Sounds good to me, I might actually use it, considering how I get way too wrapped up in forums sometimes...
