well there are ways of scanning the brain. Not with just your mind but some scientists use mri's to see where certian words are formed in the brain so theres a dictionary of words mapped out. After all words are found you can scan and find what a person is thinking. there are also tricks to do like watching eye movement and stuff like that.

that isn't telepathy. telepathy is the ability to read brain waves and such without proper instruments
and this is all based on that theophys guy's book right?

Yeah, if it's impossible, it doesn't comply with physics. This guy was just a Stephen Hawking wannabe

I agree with SM on the impossible telepathy thing.
Detecting someone's emotions with pheromones... that is something different entirely...

by physics of the impossible it means that this stuff is stuff in sci fi movies and how it could really be possible

When you think of it, many things from Star Wars could be made a reality, provided several decades of research and development...
For instance, weapons that use plasma instead of solids, shields (plasma held in place with a magnetic field), maybe intergalactic colonization once we develop our own solar system...

Here is a link to a theoretical machine called an Ansible. With it implanted in our brains as wireless chips, we could talk to each other instantly without moving our lips. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ansible

I just found something out. Twins (which i am one(unfortuantely)) apparently have a telepathic connection, which science cant explain. So, there you go, i'm telepathic.
*braces self for contradictory statements*

Well, I saw an article in the Times, which showed examples of twins that apparantly warned each other of things using telepathy or experiance the same things at the same time even if they were half a world away. But you'll say it's a load of bull-, so i don't see the point in explaining.

Here we can talk about all the weird pysics. This includes invisibility, Force feilds, Teleportation, Extraterrestrials, telepathy, and any thing else that you think can work but not with todays current tech. Also read the book Physics of the impossible its by that guy who hosts scIQ sundays. I believe that is the name of a book..... mmmmmmmm Yes it is.Already posted. For the win... Anyway, it explains how alot of technology which most would pass off as impossible is either on the verge of a breakthrough or in development. Seriously, before simply trolling on the topic purchase this book and read it. I only read like the first 2 parts or so, but it is interesting while not nerdy-sciencey annoying-incomprehensible type.

CONTRIDICTORY BUT AT THE SAME TIME IM WITH YOU STATEMENT!: telepathy in twins is because depending on how the twins were born their Dna and brainwaves are somewhat similar. They cant read the thoughts its just that most of the times their brainwaves intertwine giving each of them the same thoughts. For instance two twins who were seperated at birth came to meet eachother and they were wearing the same clothes each had the same dog and car. Each had the same job and (for the most part just a bit off due to different taxes in thre regions) the same amount of money. Scientists have not proven this yet but this is really the only thing to explain it. Ive also had two friends who were twins and actually forgot which was which so they accidently went to the different classes wearing the other ones shoes and nobody could tell not even them. And they also had the same dream where they both talked to eachother in. Veryfreaky also im pretty good at finishing ppls senctences because im 3% physcic AND DONT EVEN SAY HOW DID I FIGURE THAT OUT! and i know some noob is dying to say okay finish this sentence then: blah blah blah!

That's impossible. You need wormholes for that.

Invisibility is actually possible and has been proven in Japan who uses mirrors to show the reflecting background, they're even trying it on tanks to gain an advantage over the enemies.
