Because no one ever plays them. That is why they're never updated.

...yes. Thanks for that. Now then, to actual occurences ie those not made by silly guest-posters. There's great update potential in SR and PG. That's why they're updated. SR's updated more often due to the fact that it's easier to update a beta-stage RP/Strategy game (add new levels/monsters, classes, weapons etc) than it is to update a particle/wind simulator in stage... 5.8? Anyway. The other Java applets (Rockets, Micro Panda, Ham Race and so on) don't get updated anymore because ha55ii probably got bored after adding a couple of options and levels. The applets based on physics (eg Compasses, Planets) can't really have much added to them. LW could do with a "Clear/Erase" split. I always like to see an explosion of water from a highly enclosed space, and having Clear erase Wall AND water is rather counter-productive in that sense. The score-based applets (games, basically) could only be updated with more levels, or different difficulties. Level variety would be added, but after a while, seeing Ham Race ver5.0 would get overwhelmingly stale. Although seeing an element update to Sand Moji would be interesting. The only applets with growth potential are those deemed varied enough that an update to it wouldn't be completely dull. Earth Editor could have interesting updates, but PG pulled all the attention away from it. And Font Game was just... there. Its existence is proof that "'Too much time'+'boredom'→'crazy applets'". Kay, I mentioned Rockets, Compasses, Planets, Ham Race, Sand Moji, Micro Panda, Liquid Webtoy, Powder Game, Stick Ranger, Earth Editor, Irritation Stickman and Font Game. All 12 in one post. I'm quite proud of myself

There are three people working on Stick Ranger while there is one person working on Powder Game (if you exclude ha55ii from both games), may I be correct...

Actually, there are several people (myself included) who like Stick Ranger. I like both games, but the influence of Community in PG drove me to SR.

There are loads of people that like SR.
And when I said it's easier to update SR, I meant that on two levels. ·Firstly, updating SR could be as little as weaponry and name changes, or as big as a new class. There aren't any "game-wide" changes, so to speak. PG updates require changing a huge number of things (eg reactions) ·Secondly, it's easier to update SR on account that SR's an RPG, so cliches aren't reviled as much (imo anyway). For SR you could do anything mentioned in the first point. On PG, it's either an element, a function or a background. Ideas on that ground will run out faster than SR's idea-list.

Do you think they update SR because it's easier? It is definitely NOT easier. It requires THREE EXPERT PROGRAMMERS instead of one Listo...

Because they have a popularity thingy for it if its no good they do not update and if it is they do and they also need these bad games to draw attention to the website.
