Too bad if it's not in your eyes, because it IS public because others can see it.

Although because its on chat, its not there permeanantly, so therefore others can't see it. And look what happened when he only announced it on chat.

Posts on the forum aren't there forever, either. Like, if someone deleted it, it's not there. If the thread is deleted, it's not there.

Yes, but you could say that about anything public. We expect the post to stay, but we don't expect the chat post to stay available on screen.

I think the following rule should be added, and even if it isn't, I will do so from now on:
If you use a base image of any kind, or use any premade image in a shop item, a link to it or the actual image itself must be shown. This would help decide how much was actually done on the image, and would help give credit to the maker of the original image. Failure to do so would result in a personal warning. 2nd offense 15%, 3rd offense 30%, and a 4th offense would result in a 5 day ban.
How does that sound?

Well, I'm in total agreement with that. Is it for the shop rules or Official rules? Or both?

Both, of course. Should we re-open the shop now?

Well, WN opened it himself.

Actually, it should just be in the shop rules.

We've been over this, it should also be in the official rules. There is no down-side to putting it there, and some people don't read the shop rules.

Some people don't read the official rules, either.
Again, the official rules are for rules that apply EVERYWHERE, not for just one place.

If we put it in the shop rules, someone can just send the image through another place. The rule would be easy to avoid.

It'd be the same if we put it in the Official Rules, they can still just send the image through other means. It wouldn't be any different.

At least if you post it in official rules, it would have to be outside the forum.

Or via PM.

Even though we would find out anyway and punish them accordingly...

How? Unless it was a staff member, I doubt we'll find out.

We have ways... We simply identify the picture once it is in the person's profile. People don't buy pictures just to hide them.

I agree with Qwerty, even if someone doesn't read the official rules, there's no harm in putting it there. It almost seems as if this is being argued just so there is an argument. There is no reason not to put it there.

It can be in both places.
