I didn't even know it existed.

If it didn't exist, would there be badges for it?

Also, I'll thank TSL for being the first to nominate me. Aww, that makes me feel all warm and cuddly inside! Congrats, Qwerty!

Wow, only 8 days into my MOTM so far... When should we pick the next one?

I just hope I'm able to win MemberOfTheMonth!

You are a new member. There is a chance of winning it, but just telling you, it's unlikely until you become at least a full member. At this rate, you should be there soon, though.

Not being lazy is another good idea. Try to get the badges as fast as you can, those can help guide you to it. (Getting badges for helping members, being active, contributing good ideas to the forum, etc., can up your chances greatly.)

It isn't all about badges... just somewhat about badges.

I brought it back from the second. I saw the MOTM badge and figured, "Why don't we do those anymore?"

It died again, and can we please stop bumping old threads?

I'm sorry for my bump-spree, but if we're going for activity, doesn't this seem like a good thing to restart? I'm sure it doesn't take too much effort to sit back at the end of the month and think, "hmm, who made the biggest positive impact this month?"

There are many things that we CAN do to attempt to get new members. Doing the MotM is not one of them. To run a MotM, we actually need members.

Well, MotM makes a site look more active, appealing to new comers.
But I won't bring it up again until we get more members :/

Even if the MOTM (Member of the Month) was being held, most of them would simply go to staff, considering the low memebr count that is actually active that are non-staff...

Like I said, it would be more about keeping up appearances, but never mind... It's not a big deal

Excellent.
This is what I know as an Akward phase. Posts made by the original bumper still count as bumps while in the akward phase.
So. Care to stop bumping, eh?

Fox, we turned off the bumping rule.
Also, awkward*
The thing, Izac, is that by the time people even noticed it they would already know the real activity of the forums.
