#1 User-owned Sub-board. A new board in general, users can buy sub-boards that go here. They get moderation rights for their board as well. Board ownerships can be sold to others and/or taken away if needed. COST: 20,000 Dan-balls ADD BOARD SPECIFIC CODES: 1,000 per code E.G. add a code that only functions in that board
User-owned Group A custom user group, you pick how many stars, what stars, and can set a price for other users to join. They must pay 10,000 and then whatever price they chose.
Prices can be changed to whatever suites most, high prices are reccommended so everyone doesn't buy one at once.

Good idea. but 20,000 and 10,000 are a bit much. No normal member will ever be able to afford it. Perhaps 3,000 for the board, and 2,000 for the group?

No, with prices like that members like me could easily buy several alone. 20,000 and 10,000 make it so that they are rare and are quite an achievement to own.

yeah, but then i cant get one. XD maybe you should only be able to have one.
Other fees include: Changing board name: 200Dbs
Also, i think adding codes should be more like 500Dbs, but you must have the code already comepletely set up, the staff member who enters it should only have to copy and paste it in for it to work.

How about 10,000 and 5,000 - half your prices, but still requiring approximately 5,000 and 2,500 posts respectively?
Actually, for the sake of organization, how about if all shop owners are given a sub-board automatically, and prices for codes, titles, and other things are drastically increased? Multiple sub-boards would be prohibited, and the name or abbreviations of the owner would have to be located somewhere in the sub-board title?

who that you know of has 5,000 posts? Memzak and SM are it. So really, Memzak alone would be the only one with a sub-board

Don't forget contests... Also, I added to my previous post. That sounds good to me. Would the sub-boards be located in the shop board then? Or still in a new board made for them?

He says there will be a new board in general and the subs will go in there....I'm not exactly clear what will happen in these subs...

I personally would prefer to have them located in the Dan-Ball Shop Board, but I guess we could make a new board in the Graphics category...

I'm guessing, anything you want can go in your board!

You can use the sub-board for whatever reason you like, E.G. another general talk, a News section, a Graphics community. So giving them to shop owners won't work. I think you should be able to buy sub boards for your sub board too. And I think the reduced prices are fine. EDIT: and I think the sub-board forum would be a new board in general talk called "user-made boards".

Oh, okay, so something similar to a...for lack of a better analysis, a "home site" for each member?
That is an interesting idea, although I don't think we can make tertiary boards (i.e. sub-sub-boards) or further nested boards...

This sounds like a very good idea. A graphics board, a coding board a news board, and even a crystal simulator board are probably going to be made first. Those are pretty popular subjuects.

I checked by trying, and I cannot make sub-sub-boards despite being able to make sub-boards, boards, and categories.

Ah, yes. I forgot, proboards isn't adding support for unlimited sub-subs until proboards V5 is released.

When will that be? I never knew sub-sub boards existed anyway...

But mono said unlimited, which implied that limited sub-subs were available...Anyway, do we need more people to agree with this idea for it to take place?Or do we need the sub-subs?

I think we should put it in place for a bit and see how things go.
