@qwerty
Well, I think having a lot of Dan-Balls and a lot of achievements are very closely related. If you post a lot, recruit members, participate in contests, etc., you get Dan-Balls in the process. If you look at the people on the site who have the most badges, they're usually the richest.
So you see, people don't make achievements because they are rich, rather they get rich because they have made achievements.
So I think this is pretty fair. My only problem is that I think the custom badges are a little too expensive.

Only the Veteran's Badge, the Thousand Post Badge, the Ten-Thousand Dan-Ball Badge, and indirectly, the Winners Badge would result in Dan-Balls. All other badges have nothing to do with riches.
No, the achievements are not directly linked with riches. Even if they were, you can get rich without making any achievements except for contests or posting. At that point, some rich, achievement devoid user could buy a badge named after him.
As a matter of fact, if participants are diligent enough, they could easily buy themselves their own custom badges when they finish my contest and have those badges count as official. That does not sound right, despite the knowledge necessary to successfully participate. The Name Badges should not count as official badges on account that those badges do not have achievement requirements unlike those of an existing badge...

You forgot the Recruiter badge. You can get a lot of Dan-Balls by recruiting members. The Name Badges should not count as official badges on account that those badges do not have achievement requirements unlike those of an existing badge... If you think about it, the name badge technically does have a requirement, which is 10,000 Dan-Balls. So you could think of it as a reward for getting 10,000 Dan-Balls.

Well maybe we could have a limit of how many name badges you can have. All others after you reach that limit shouldn't count towards your badge count. Because, when you think about it, the 10,000 dan-balls badge is just from achieving 10,000 dan-balls. The custom badge comes from spending them . . . so I don't see how one of them is more justified. Should we have a limit, I don't see why they shouldn't count. It has achievement requirements in the same way the 10,000 dan-ball badge does.

I still don't like the idea of being able to get an "official" General Veers Badge: that just doesn't sound right.
We also already have the Ten Thousand Dan-Ball Badge, so having a "custom official" badge would be similar to having two of the immediately aforementioned badge: one of them ought to be revoked.
If a higher price (e.g. 15,000 or 20,000 or 100,000) is set than a requirement for a badge already made or still in production, then custom badges should be permitted to become official in that manner...

I made it a high price for two reasons:
A.) There are more important things to work on right now.
B.) I want people to try and get the badges versus the money. Barely anyone have 20 badges, so having a price makes it so at least a few more people might be able to get it.
I meant this as a reward for doing so well. You have to be pretty dedicated to get 20 badges or 10,000 DBs, so this is just another added bonus of getting one of them.
Oh, and obviously, you can only get one.

Well, to make the badge unique, it should either be available only to those who did manage 20 badges (or something more, since there is already a 20 Badge), or it should be given a higher price that is unique from all other badge requirements.

What if it couldn't be bought, and and the count was 21 badges?

That sounds alright to me: it transcends "standard official" badge requirements and is unique in itself.
If anyone else agrees...

What if it couldn't be bought, and and the count was 21 badges? What do you mean by that? I'm confused.

What if instead of buying it, its only able to be earned. Like a normal badge. You would get it at 21 badges instead of 20.

Would it be possible to make a different badge official, instead of making a new one to be official? And give it actual requirements? Just throwing that question out there.
We should probably raise the price... 20,000 DBs?

There already exists a badge for earning twenty badges. If you would rather have it be 25 or 30 or something else, by all means, or if you want it to be a high, unique Dan-Ball requirement above 10,000, then by all means...

Perhaps 20K dan-ball break? Except custom, and you pay for it?

Do we even have 25 or 30 badges? That would be just plain unrealistic. Perhaps we replace the 20 badge badge for this one?

Agreed, next we will be selling morals and good deeds. Just like the Catholic Church did before the enlightenment period with indulgences.
That was six months and four days after the previous post.
Half a year.
I'm going to lock this now. Please refrain from such horrendous bumps like this.
SITH LOCKED
