I have noticed many times that when members from the Official Forums go onto their chat, or when people from the fansite come here onto the chat, there is normally arguing and flaming going back and forth at both sides (normally, not all the time). I would like to point something out to all of the members who have been to the fansite and vice versa:
The members of the Powder Game Fansite and the staff are one with the Official Dan-Ball Forums. The Official Forums are in NO way better than, or any matter higher in stature than the fansite. Just because we are official does not mean we can treat them like they are lower than us. The people there are linked with us, here for the same reason, and we should welcome them and their cause. We are to work together, not to argue.
The whole reason for this announcement is because I have been in instances when staff members and certain members here have unkindly flamed and spammed the people of the fansite not only on their own chat, but the forum chat. This behavior can absolutely NOT continue, and I myself will try and make sure that none of this behavior happens any longer in the chat or their chat. I also hope that the rest of the staff members will see too that they will prevent this unacceptable behavior......

They are nowhere near us. They aren't official, they have all of three pages, they are incredibly unorganized and small, and they know next to nothing about dan-ball next to us. Having said that, there is no reason for us to go over there, as we have everything they have, but better. We don't have to go over there and flame them.
However, if they come over here and start flaming us and advertising their 'fansite', then they can expect to be shoved away. If they are just over here visiting, then treat them like any other guest.
In short: Just cause they aren't as big or as advanced as we are, doesn't mean we have to flame them. However, it doesn't mean they can flame us, either.

The fansite, which was created by genius3000, is just a place to chat about stuff, PG, advertise, and meet other uploaders. there are many others Just like it! it's a cool place because well know uploaders, such as yonder, stirn, sparky,me,and others, are there and we can offer quick advice to newbs and try to prevent them from becoming noobs. it also is very lax on rules, which u may see as bad but it makes for a friendley enviroment. offical forums is AWSOME no question about that. the graphics are amazing, it is very well laid out, and has TONS of info. now in the past, memebers of the forums have come to these chats and "flamed" or harassed people. now i don't know if these chats "threaten the forums" , im sure they don't, so i don't see what the problem is. some people feel a need to critizise them. now as KuraiOorora said "The people there are linked with us, here for the same reason, and we should welcome them and their cause."

1. I posted a message yesterday and it surely didn't get through. 2. We were official, are official and always will be the only official thing linked to Dan-ball. 3. They flamed us. We flamed back. You flamed us. We flamed back. You flame us again, we flame back. ...and yet here this is, unprovoked. Can this actually be taken seriously if your post is designed like that? I can tell that you ignored this post:
In short: Just cause they aren't as big or as advanced as we are, doesn't mean we have to flame them.
Please be more respectful...
-General Veers I was just saying what was on my mind. Anyway that is the truth, and like once ststed by someone on chat, The truth hurts.
In short: Just cause they aren't as big or as advanced as we are, doesn't mean we have to flame them.
We flamed them to protect ourselves. What is an 18 year old doing flaming the ODBF while a 12 year old (not me) was the only mod there?
He asked for it. -Red vs Blue

Yes, ozone. You missed it. It was with the fansite, too.
The fansite is fine, but RvB's post was confusing.

Bol... Shut up... Your not helping in anyway. AND BEFORE SOMEONE REPLIES SAYING THIS ISN'T EITHER, HAHAHA YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY NOW! Anyway, as I recall, arch wasn't even staff then, and Roncamp, you went on the comment board and started talking about how the staff aren't friendly. As that is, both sides made mistakes and i beleive i speak for everyone that it is in the past now and all we can do now is try and get along.

What? That isn't I bet you within the next month a fansite will come and flame saying "You're not official!"

In that event, we will act worthy of the title "Official Forums" and explain to them how ha55ii's employee got him to sponsor this site and make it official. If they disregard that, then they lose out. If they continue to flame, even if they hire professional arsonists, no one from the forums should flame them.
If you have to retaliate, do so in a logical manner that still maintains an air of respect. There is absolutely NO reason for flaming: it is pointless, it solves nothing, and makes matters worse. If you argue logically without ad hominems, then you render idiots more so idiotic while maintaining yourself as a logician with ethics that would indeed be better than an arsonist.

Nice arsonist analogy.
I'll keep that in mind... There isn't any chance of embedding their chat on one of our pages, is there? For convenience purposes?

What's done is done, no reason to further flame or try and create excuses....(Ahem...Red vs Blue..)
Anyways I see this fansite as a way to actually help the forums. See it this way: Those who go there who like to relax and not worry about too many rules can go and reside there, yet those who like a more developed site with more opportunities could come to the Official Forums if they are interested.....

*sigh* But IF you need anyone to flame, ring PM me.
I'll just be on a hidden board... away from everyone not caring about my opinion... bye...

I just have to say this: A small precentage of the Xatters (if I may call them that), especially Da Master and Needforspeedmost, are not welcome here. They are illogical, irrational, authoritative, and downright irritating.

Someone's sorta backing me up? yayz!
The point is that I love flaming I can't stop myself flaming back because of them being so small and unknown and spamming on comment boards. Put it this way: They are part of the community.
