Make a new one, so we might be able to keep this in the archives.

Why does it say the MoTM for SEPTEMBER is GGoodie, Septemeber just started...
It should be the MoTM for AUGUST is GGoodie...
You can't choose a MoTH for a month that didn't start yet...

What we do is, during one month, we choose the MOTM for the next month.
It makes perfect sense.

Actually, I want to agree with ShiningSilver. The current system only seems incorrect to some people because that means celebrating someone's dedications for a month after the named month already passed. The way that seems correct to some people is to celebrate someone's dedications from a month during that named month despite searching during the previous month.
If I were to do this, I would do this like many schools do it: search for someone during month m and rewarding a person's citizenship for month m during month m+1.

(Sorry I'm a bit late...)Because we were/are deciding who is the best/greatest/outstanding/etc. for the month m. So we choose the person for month m in the month m+1. Or we would choose the person for month m while it's month m, BUT NEVER choose a person for month m DURING m - 1. But apparently... Thats what we just did... So can someone change the name of the month "September" to "August".

I guess that seems like a better idea.
