Did anyone else watch Obama's address to West Point students regarding his plans for Afghanistan? Yes, and didn't he promise during his campaign he would remove all troops from the middle east?

Yes, and I really hate him for going back on his word. Even though I like him overall, that doesn't mean I don't see his faults.

Although candidates should know better before running, some presidents who make promises will get reality checks in office. The reality check is the reason fro broken promises in some cases...

I have a feeling that Obama is more worried about adhering to a time table to please his party rather than getting the job done over in Afghanistan...

Well, right now I think he's trying to focus on the economy, which, in my opinion and most other people's, is a bigger problem than the war.

Personally, And this is taking a dive off topic, i don't really care about alot of things.
Three things i hate are Religion, Politics, and set standards.
The first one has a place which is not here.
The second comes once more to one of the philosiphies i hold at my core; ignorance is bliss. I care not for patriotism or loyalty. I guess its like one of those games where the main character is only acting in their own interests, as the world comes to hell around them. Just with a distinct lack of martial law and explosions.
As for set standards, i hate them. Everything from in political situations to the fact that i will never in my life wear a tie. Obama has been critisized for his lack of experience and so on, so forth. I won't hold back; Belgium that (damn censors). Isn't it all of these older gentlemen that dragged this nation to its knees? That have been involved in scandals, affairs, and so forth? Thats right, it is.
Exitus Acta Probat. And thats all i have on the matter.
If anyone is curious as to why i came here for a seemingly complete lack of constructive conversation, i have my reasons.

I think staying in the war isn't a good idea. The war is stupid, I think he can still help our country, but I sort of doubt it. I haven't really paid attention to this Health Care thing, but, my father says, it'll actually be worse, almost, because everyone will have to buy health care, and not everyone has enough money for that, and it's expensive here. Also, if we now or will tax the wealthier people, and not the poor people, I see that as good, it doesn't make any sense at all to tax people who are having hard times as it is.

Ya wow 13 trillion on top of the 145 trillion bush caused![/quote]
Obama caused the 13 trillion in a couple of months. Bush caused it in 4 years, and it wasn't all him. Everything Obama has touched since he became President has been a complete disaster, and he says he's trying to "improve" everything, including taking billions of dollars of our money and creating a job program. Has that happened? Don't think so. Are we still losing jobs? Hell yes. 85 THOUSAND JOBS were lost in the last month. Not to mention his horrible plan for health care. First of all, before the health care bill passes, he can't even convince HIS OWN PARTY to vote for the stupid thing! Second, it's gonna cost 10 TRILLION DOLLARS, and of course we're just getting that by raising taxes to the sky and borrowing crap loads of money from tons of other countries we already owe billions to. Not to mention the bailout last year. That was a COMPLETE and TOTAL DISASTER! Obama needs to get off his lazy ass and DO SOMETHING- ANYTHING that will BENEFIT THE U.S.!

yeah agreed. He really does have a lot to do firstly has he bailed everyone out of the recession, or if he does will it hurt the economy more. And he cant keep the homeland security under control such as it not stopping attacks on Christmas day. so don't think hes doing that great but i personly think hes better than bush.

I agree with you wholeheartedly Qwerty333. With all the money that the US has borrowed from China to pay for Obama's "improvements", the United States is pretty much China's puppet. Our current president has dug the US into a hole which will take GENERATIONS to dig ourselves out of...
Oh, and by the way Qwerty333, did you choose your usersame "Qwerty" due to the fact that those are the first five letters in the upper left hand corner of a computer keyboard?
You have been warned...

@ Mattaroni: Exactly. The way things are going, it seems like we won't be able to pay off the national debt anytime soon. It could be decades. And China's manipulations of us will just push us farther into debt. @ Qwerty333: You seem to be overlooking the fact that the job loss rates have gone down drastically. 85,000 lost last month, compared to 500,000 a month in the summer. One thing I'm really outraged about though, is the bailouts. Some of you might remember a few months ago, California (with a $10 billion deficit at the time), asked the federal government for help, and they refused. Yet they gladly give hundreds of billions to huge corporations, most of which just goes to bonuses. They'll help the huge companies, but they won't even help the state governments, can you believe that? In my opinion, that is the height of corruption.
