The mods on chat abuse power!

Recently some of the senior members became mods on the chat, and now, banned users are being unbanned, and the entire chat's messages get deleted because someone wants to **** with some heads or they want some silence for god knows what reason. I don't know who's doing it but it's getting quite annoying now. There should either be fewer mods, or mods who are trusted by the admin and not prone to, what I like to call "ass-hattery".

Yes, I'm aware that as a mod on chat myself I shouldn't be making this sort of complaint, but it's going a bit OTT now. I mean, who the hell is "shitoutofluck" as he calls himself, and why is he a mod?

As far as I remember, said name: 'ShitoutofLuck' was originally Devin. Although now I'm not sure if this is currently true....

And as for the moderators inappropriately banning and unbanning accounts: I realize there was a recent controversy with a certain member whose name shall not be discussed...I also regret the fact I banned an anonymous in which I wasn't given enough information from the subject pertaining to who I thought I was banning...Yet I've seen no excessive abuse......

Yet the current status of the chat of course...Looking at it right now a few names are acting like adolescents to be honest...Not very...welcoming for potential members.....

I've noticed that too. I really hate it, it's so annoying. Too bad there's no way to tell who's doing it.

And I do agree with a point you made in your first post: there should be less chat mods. Every time I'm on chat, usually everyone there is a mod. I mean, come on. There might as well not be any mods at all, because no one can ban anybody either way.

Well....I agree with ShadowLord's previous posts in which he proposed that only staff on the forums should be granted moderation abilities on the chat....

Then you dont get chat mod. Simple. I agree, as part of staff privileges, they get chat mod powers.

We need a mod there all the time. If they abuse their power, then just hunt them down. Simple as that.

I also disagree. There are members who are far more fit to be chat mods. Lots of staff members just erase everything when they dont agree with the topic. And TSL, you were there, you know what im talking about.

Oh, do you have evidence that those that erased messages were both moderators on the chat AND the forum? You cannot make that assumption unless one admits to doing said actions that are staff on the forum. Why, it could just be a senior member for that matter.

On who 'shitoutofluck' is, on the last time the acount posted, it had the Nmagain's IP, so I guess he was the one deleting the posts...

Anyway, on the topic of who the mods should be, they should be users who are known not to go on hissy fits and delete everything when they're proven wrong.

So you're generally saying the staff only on the forum (excluding a few subjects) and a few amount of senior members if possible should be staff?

If so then I agree with such proposal....

Well, these proposals for change might be nice, but we won't be able to implement any changes on chat until the chat owner (presumably TheListo) takes action. I neither know his information nor have explicit permission to use any of his chat accounts to implement whatever changes you agree upon, so I cannot do anything about this. I doubt that anyone else knows, either...

Well...in the case we all come to an agreement, I recall that Devin gave his chat-profile password to I believe one or both of these members: 'SoleilDeimos' or 'MistaFailure' (Also known as .Ozone, Monochrome etc.).

If in fact either of these members have the password, we could use it to enforce said agreement...Yet because of the fact Devin is not very active, I say we should enforce rules agreed upon without him...How else would we get anywhere if the staff couldn't make their own decisions without Devin's approval?

SOME PEOPLE are abusing their chat mod powers. One time, Qwerty333 posted a video and a mod deleted it. This happened a couple more times, and then when Qwerty complained, the mod said he was "excessively spamming".

Artik, first off, I was the one that said he was excessively spamming, but wasn't the one that was deleting his posts. I said that because he continuously posted the video for roughly thirty times after a staff member repeatedly deleted it. He should of just stopped trying to get his way, rather than keep posting that video after every deletion...
