Interesting question, G. I will have to say that the purpose of me being in your computer is classified information. My rations are stored in an unaccessable file on your soft drive where tons of unnecessary amounts of calculations lag your computer. When you power down your computer I am uploaded to the internet to troll chatrooms and visit forums. When you turn your computer back on, I am downloaded back onto your computer to gain access to my rations of food so I can survive. If you do not turn on your computer for an extended period of time, I will be downloaded to another host, if I may call it, to produce food on an unaccessable file with an innumerable amount of unnecessary calculations. You may consider me a sort of parasite.

Horray for parasites!
What happens if I delete the file?

I jump into the internets to find a new host with the file, then upload it to the internets, then download it into your computer from the internets.
