The forums have been going downhill for a long time now. I have decided to write a multi-paragraph thingy on WHY.
Firstly, I will talk about the staff. These members have been constantly arguing and disagreeing with each other for too long now. Truthfully, it is frustrating to see superiors argue like two children argue over a cookie. I’m not going to say that “some staff members aren’t arguing though” or “but some aren’t doing this”. Because every time I see staff members talk to each other, they’re arguing. Sure this might now happen in the “staff lobby”, but it happens too often to have (I hate using this word) order. Now, one of our many administrators, General Veers, is the best staff member this forum has probably ever had. He actually LISTENS to people, whether it’s a “hi” or a “the forum has been hacked!!” And the key word is LISTEN. If you start arguing about how my point is “dumb”, or “stupid”, then that really is just proving my point. The staff argues because they don’t listen to each other, and that is truly a very sad thing :[
Second of all, I would like to talk about the forum itself. It rarely does anything special such as events, (I have PMed GV about this), or holiday celebration skins, or anything interesting at all. The only thing that really happens is who and why someone is going to be banned, and threads that are made once every two weeks. And then the threads get hijacked into a moderator discussion concerning why the host of the thread is breaking rules, and then the mods start arguing AGAIN (see paragraph #1). Please keep it out of the thread. Exciting things here would truly help the forum out.
Third, and finally, I would like to talk about the community. Just because one is on the internet, does not mean that person can say whatever they like. The insulting and disrespect to everyone is driving me mad, respect others as you would respect yourself. Don’t be snobbish or idiotic or annoying, and don’t overreact over every little damn thing. Relax and lay back, and help make the forum a peaceful and happy place. Remember when we were a big, happy family, full of jolly laughs? I miss that time, and I wish to bring it back :]
