Almost approved, Izac. You have to start as a Baron, not a Duke.

I roll my eyes at Nmagain and tell him that he is obviously not the Emperor, for the Emperor does not go and randomly ask people himself for taxes, particularly not taxes that high. I then suggest to the Spacing Guild that we raise prices for this obvious impostor.
Now. 120 credits. I get 6 melange pills. 30 credits left. I eat and enjoy my melange pills.

Fox sat in his study, a wide, elegant room. While there were several shelves of books, there were many things around the room, most notably was his "working" area which contained his diagrams, project plans, materials inventories, and, of course, his Typewriter
I went with books and a Typewriter because Thinking Machines are banned. Regardless of the original intent, that likely means very little in the line of personal computer technology, particularly for someone not of the great houses.
He sat at the typewriter, and began to draft four letters, as his handwriting was not satisfactory. The letters outlined the unexceptional state of Sal's military, and its infantry based design. He outlined his exceptional skills of engineering and, for the right price, what He could do to increase greatly the power of the Barons' Military. And he alluded to each Baron's goal of Dukeship, never alluding that another Baron might be recieving a similar letter...

Message ti Baron Tzeli:
"I am delighted to hear you seek further interest in my offers. I have a number of prototype designs and concepts, or perhaps if you seek specifics. Regardlessly, I assure you I see successful business in the future."
To Baron Viente:
"Excellent to hear you are interested. Perhaps you could tell me what the nature of what you have in mind might be, perhaps we can work out possibilities..."
To Baron Nuuk:
"While, Unfortunately, I cannot assure you of how interested I may or may not be in your commercial possibilities, I am willing to discuss further regarding what It may entail."

Response from Baron Tzeli: We would employ you to construct new and better models of equipment, and to repair existing equipment, at a rate of 25 Sovereigns (Per post). Your contract would be exclusively with us, however.
Response from Baron Viente: We encourage creativity, and would be willing to pay you up to 1000 Sovereigns for any ideas or working models you present us with, that we take an interest in. Your contract would be exclusively with us, but we would be willing to provide any materials you wish (within reason!) to complete your experiments.
Response from Baron Nuuk : By entering the commercial branch, you are given a paycheck of 55 Sovereigns (Per post), and your products will be available to the public after the House Nuuk-only patent ends. You will receive a dividend of all products, and your contract will not be exclusive. You will be required to keep all ideas you present to us to yourself until the patent ends, but you are free to be employed by other Houses or persons so long as it does not interfere with business.

To Baron Tzeli: By "Equipment" what do you mean? Please elaborate on what models, and how you would wish them improved.
To Baron Viente: Creativity in itself is not an object, but an adjective. I need to know where your interests lie before i begin any prototypes.
To Baron Nuuk: Quite an enticing offer indeed, something tells me you do not wish to commercially sell military equipment. To what ends would you be interested?

Baron Silversmith sat in his library, spinning his globe hologram. Military forces were displayed in red dots. A hundred dots in all for a hundred legions. Only about 35% of those belonged to Silversmith. The other legions were distributed to the other two barons: Volith owned 40% and Niet owned 25%. Each baron held a third of Donathan. Precisely a third. But the thirds could not have been more different. Each had its own topography, culture, and history. People who would normally share ideas were separated. It may as well have been three planets. This was not how it should be...
"John," a middle-aged man steps from behind the baron. "yes, Baron?" "Could you please contact barons Volith and Niet? Tell them I'd like to arrange a meeting here at the palace to discuss matters important to Donathan." "Yes, M'lord" John leaves, his red velvet cape swirling behind him
baron silversmith returned to the globe. Yes, this was surely the path the planet should follow.

Response from Baron Tzeli: Our equipment is confidential, but rest assured that you will be repairing shields, household equipment, security, and other high-clearance technology. We would be most excited for anything you could contribute to us.
Response from Baron Viente: Our interests lie in the furthering of the power of House Viente, and the furthering of humanity. We would be most interested in any creation you could present you with.
Response from Baron Nuuk : Military equipment is indeed sold by House Nuuk. We are also interested in security and convenience equipment. _____________________ Response from Baron Volith: I will be sending an aide to attend the meeting. What is the location and time?
Response from Baron Niet: I will arrive for the meeting in-person. What is the location and time?

Baron Tzeli:
It seems an interesting offer. Please understand that a man such as myself has many conciderable offers to be contemplating. Might I ask you to elaborate on your definition of an "Exclusive Contract?" I would be willing to make specific services exclusive, but understand, certinally not my services as a whole.
Baron Viente:
Please understand that I am contemplating a number of business offers at this time. Might I ask to elaboration as to your definition of "Exclusive"? I can exclusify specific services, but not my services as a whole.
Baron Nuuk:
I never bothered to elaborate on my specialties in engineering, but I have some concepts in frieght and heavy lifting, particularly in technologies along the lines of High-Speed Repulsor-Rail Transport.

Response from Baron Tzeli: An exclusive contract entails that you will live on House Tzeli property, and all of your services will be exclusive to House Tzeli. We are willing to give you a pay increase if this is unsatisfactory.
Response from Baron Viente: Our exclusive contract says that you will live on House Viente property, and all services we pay for will be exclusive to us. Other services are free for you to sell.
Response from Baron Nuuk : Your talents are interesting, would you like a job? You will not be required to live House Nuuk property.

Response to Baron Tzeli: I apologize, but the terms are not sufficent nor satiable. I thank you for your interests in my services, however.
Response to Baron Viente: I have been working on a prototype for a new tool of war. It would increase the military capacity of House Viente greatly. I will be willing to accept your contract, and I will be able to present my prototype very soon. I would also be interested if you could offer a postal salary?

VIROS, you must have missed my request to the spacing guild to raise prices for the imposter Nmagain. It still stands.

Isn't it a bit odd that we only get enough salary to sustain ourselves? That was rather badly-thought-out.

A presentation is made to the House of Nuuk. The presentation outlines and details a reliable high-speed, large-payload railway system. It is two One-Foot wide rails, set twelve feet apart.
The railway cars are ten feet across, twenty feet long, and Six feet tall from lowest point to highest. Each car has six 'pods', three on either side, which wrap nearly around the rails, and accelerate or decelerate using an array of Suspendors, another array of which keeps the cars afloat.
There are a large variety of cars capable of moving massive amounts of varied cargo wherever the basic rails are laid, at speeds of up to 175 KpH.
