I've seen a lot of truly amazing technologies on powder game that really creative and smart people have put together, and this may not seem like much, but here's what I have come up with.
This box can act as a fast and relatively precise thunder to laser converter, or act as a rewritable laser memory block.
As the thunder to laser converter, it needs a steady stream of laser in the Laser Input to function. The longer gaps between lasers, the longer your thunder will have to flow to activate it.
When you send thunder down the Thunder Input wire, it will cause the laser to no longer have the correct metal shape to bounce, and will change direction, heading toward the Laser Output. The thunder will exit the Thunder Output wire. If you don't need the thunder anymore, then block up the end of the wire with some torch.
I used the fan laser as my steady source of laser input.

Things are a little different as a memory block. You only need to send one laser in the Laser Input to act as the information in the memory. Then, to "read" the memory, send some thunder down the Thunder Input. The laser will leave the memory out the Laser Output, and the memory will be automatically wiped clean.
A convenient feature is that the thunder isn't used up, is leaves the Thunder Output the same way it came in. So then if you are doing a project like a calculator, you don't have to split any thunder to read the memory.

Things are a little different as a memory block. You only need to send one laser in the Laser Input to act as the information in the memory. Then, to "read" the memory, send some thunder down the Thunder Input. The laser will leave the memory out the Laser Output, and the memory will be automatically wiped clean.
A convenient feature is that the thunder isn't used up, is leaves the Thunder Output the same way it came in. So then if you are doing a project like a calculator, you don't have to split any thunder to read the memory.
