New stage (and enemy type - Gel-Heads (I'll give my reasoning at a time when I have the computer)) Level 2 Cards Bug fix on Frozen Sword. What exactly it was, I cannot say, until I get on the computer.
Right, new level is Seaside 3. The new enemies are:
Purple Gel-Tree, 3-Flame attack, $120 Blue Gel-Snake, Blue Spike attack, $80 Blue Gel-Dragon, "Blizzard"-type ball attack, $80 BOSS: Giant Blue Gel-Dragon, Hailstorm attack, $900
The worst screen's the first one, unless you have Level 2 Purple Crystals equipped. 3 Gel-Trees, firing 3 flames each at a rate of about 3 every 2 seconds. I'm guessing if he could, my Gladiator would be having nightmares and rather big burns for a LONG while.
The Boss is a lot less destructive than it sounds. It might be that I had Ice affecting it nearly the entire time, but whatever. Out of all the SeaSide bosses, #3 is the easiest, whilst #1's the hardest.
I've not found any level 2 Cards yet.

Forest 1 Boss: Quick's Card 2 Forest 2 Boss: Long Sword's Card 2 Cavern 1 Boss: Catapult's Card 2 Cavern 2 Boss: Pierce's Card 2 Cavern 3 Boss: Guide's Card 2 It seems like those are the only level 2 Cards. I currently only have no information about Seaside 3. /meThe trees in the first screen are really the hardest enemies. I applied a double poison hit-and-run strategy to them. The Boss was really easy. His attacks are not to devastating and my "thunder Storm 2+ Topaz 2" really hurts him because you you nearly can't miss. Those Dragons in general are more easy than their attack looks like, at least if you have two ranged characters. Those snakes have the same issue as any other snake: They tend to overrun you. But the landscape is helping very much. I thought about using "Jelly" instead of "Gel" but this would be misleading in case of an imaginable "Jelly Fish", because the real jellyfish is the Jelly Dragon. /me

This stage is fun. The snakes look badass and the boss is easy experience.

The hardest part about the new levels is the enemies can pierce through the priest's defense. (My main way of surviving.) Although the boss is a walk in the park. Does anyone know what the glitch with the frozen sword is? I think it's got something to do with how far the ice things shoot, but I haven't noticed anything major. Does anybody now the level 2 Card values (including the selling price) ? /meThe cards sell for 1k, and the catapult card gives 40 range. (so it's better to upgrade if you can.) I think the stats from two updates ago are accurate on the cards that were released.

Do we agree on the name "Gel" or are there any objections or other suggestions?

I've just tried Guide's Card 2 with Thunder Storm 2. And the result is ... completely useless!
I had to run through a whole stage until I found out, that the card was in fact working. I noticed a single thunder bolt which had an angular deviation of about 20 degrees. Of course this meant it was also missing the enemy.

OK, now I've tried it with the Oct Arrow. And I have to admit: Guide's Card 2 is actually getting really usefull. The hitrate really improves very much because of it. I would estimate between 50% and 100% more hits! That's a lot of damage! I woudn't have thought that those 10 pixels make such a really huge difference.

..STILL HAVENT BEATEN SEASIDE 1 Although, on lvl 28, doing seaside 1 gets be 40% lvl up. WOW Just skip to the end with full health, and keep the boss distracted with one close-up (high HP if possible) Ranger, whilst the other rangers begin their attack. I passed that place yonks ago, you need to try and slow it down.

Man, I haven't been able to get on here very effectively due to an IE7 error, but I find that pressing stop right after exiting the box does the trick. (Just in case anyone realized I was missing...)
Anyway, I pretty much died as soon as I got to stage 2 on this level, well, almost (priest survived and I got away with just him). :/ I think it was mainly due to the fact that I haven't really been leveling up my guys and Im still on level 25. ^^; But hey, what're you going to do?

If you mean Seaside 3, then I don't think it's your level that is the problem: I am level 32 and the forest in stage 1 kills most of my stick rangers. The forest of gel trees can burn hotter fires than can other flame-throwing enemies. Skip that stage entirely, that helps very much.

The sad thing is, one fairly skilled triple shot sniper has no problems with those trees. If he got a catapults card, its even a walk in the park for him, as then his range is higher than the one of the trees... And yes, the stats on the new cards are as it was said some time ago.

I think the first step for a good team is: Choose for every character your weapon/fighting style! Because, if you did the decision about the weapon the rest is straightforward.
For example you make the decision "Sniper with huge range". Therefore you take the triple shot and add catapults card 2. He will be far away from enemies so he doesn't need LP. But now you have a very low damage/sec rate, which should get improved. You can't change AGI and therefore you have to invest into DEX to rise your damage. For the second compo slot you either improve range with more STR, choose a special effect (like pierce), or choose what item results in the most damage bonus (Just list your options and calculate each!)
If you make the decision: "Double Poison, normal range" you take a look at the green jewels or bullet's card or something like that. Then you spend the 20 MAG and you rise up LP (if you think he might get attacked) or primary damage with DEX (if you want more damage).
If you make the decision: "Double Poison, long range" you probably take Catapult's Card 2 instead of one of the other compos. For stats you also spent the 20 MAG. If the range is not enough for you, you add some STR, otherwise you go for the damage with DEX.
If you choose "Flame Sword", just go for the 35 MAG and improve the magical damage with level 2 jewels. For the rest of the stats you can't make the Gladiator faster, so you can only choose between a "durable fighter" (more LP), or an "agressive fighter" (more damage from STR and DEX), or a mixture.
For a fairly good team it doesn't really matter how you decide. You just have to think about it for every character and follow your decision consequent way by selecting the right compo items and stats. And then you have to go and aquire the stuff you need, even if this is very boring work!
