Yep, it kinda has. But we need to find out what this mean. Hit algorithm change of onigiri. (low LP priority)
I'd've thought it was rather obvious. Say an Onigiri appears, and when it's collectible, two rangers are touching it. The ranger with the lower HP will get it. The same applies if they're all on one onigiri, but that's harder to pull off. I haven't tested this yet, so this is only a theory. I'm going to test it now. Or at least I would if I didn't have the attention span of a falling rock. That was what I thought to, and from what it appears, it is right. It's not too hard to pull off "four on one onigiri", just disable autowalk and idle in the Castle Gate.

Yes, I saw somebody post that, I was just wondering if anyone had tested it.

P.S. does anyone know how to turn off the live preview? It seems to be slowing my typing speed.

I could code you a user-JavaScript which disables it for Opera (in 1 week). I have already coded one which improves the search options for the Powder Game uploads. But the easiest solution is to turn of JavaScript for the forum ... /me

Yeah, you should send that code to Listo (the search option one) The current search options suck.
And I can't think of anything on-topic to put, so I will just say this.

When I first saw it I thought it would give the monsters names and info about them in the world, so I'm gravely disappointed.

When I first saw it I thought it would give the monsters names and info about them in the world, so I'm gravely disappointed. So? It still gives info, on HP, EXP, Level, Gold Drop and Item Drops. Names are just things used to identify things in a group. The enemies are easily recognisable, and anyone describing them will be understood easily. You only need names for unique or indescribable entities. And the unique enemies (bosses) are easily describable anyway. So don't ignore V3.0 because of a lack of names.

Ditto (especially the LP, which is hard to calculate without official data). Interestingly, even the Japanese wiki doesn't attempt to establish a naming system for the neemies - they simply refer to them by image.

I said I was disappionted, because it did not give all the info I wanted to see, and it gave stuff we could already find out.

I said I was disappionted, because it did not give all the info I wanted to see, and it gave stuff we could already find out. Okay, sorry. What I meant to say was that you shouldn't be disappointed by the fact that easily-described monsters dont have names. Oh, WOE IS HE, FOR HE CAN'T CALL ENEMIES BY NAME. The things we could "find out" on our own takes a lot of time and effort to figure out, and even then there's going to be some errors. The levels we couldn't figure out till now, and the EXP was always going to be guesswork. This update made researching enemy data a lot easier. Apart for the names, what would you have wanted? We can't have droprates as those are hidden values.

We can't have droprates as those are hidden values. Actually, we could (and did) actually find the enemy levels by extrapolating EXP values. All we needed was the reassurance that all EXP values stick to an algorithm (i.e. 10 levels up and down the peak level with peak EXP), which was given with the update. Droprates is now probably the biggest question mark in the game, and it's impossible to find it manually. It is possible for the programmers to release it though, so keep your hopes high!

That would DEFINITELY be nice for a library update/upgrade. I would also have to wonder about names, but I'm afraid that if they are created and released, our clever taxonomy would be put to ruins.
For the nth time, this has been a good update, despite that it wasn't what some hoped for.
I doubt any of the programmers can understand or merely see this to read and understand this, but THANK YOU!

I believe the programmers put in 120% of their effort and time into every update. As such, I'm indebted to them. It's really sad to see people complain that PG recieved a lousy update (eg. the BG updates some time back), what more this Book update. As you said, it's a good update. As for taxonomy, even if they create a system, I fathom we'll be sticking to ours.

I'd hate to do this, but...
..this thread should be unstickied.

Well.. i think, if mods have problems with sticking and unsticking threads.. why to stick them at all?
What was wrong with letting old threads die by itself and letting new ones bump by itself? This was less messy than it is now because most of the time we have wrong threads sticked.
Pins off!
