Ever since I returned to the forum I've seen that this site has really fallen into disrepair. I've noticed that a lot of links in threads that are supposed to help new members are broken. This could be very confusing and discouraging to new members. I've also noticed that the boards are clogged up with age-old threads that are just taking up space.
Frankly, I think our site is starting to look very cluttered, unorganized, and unappealing. It breaks my heart to come back to a site that is worse than the one I left a year ago. I propose a Forum Cleanup and Restoration project! I think all the staff members should comb through the boards, restore links, delete any threads that haven't been posted in for over a month, and fix any other problems that we may find. Anyone and everyone can help! If we are to restore this site to its former glory, we're gonna have to get serious about this. It's our site, let's clean it up!
Now, who's with me!!!!!!

I disagree with deleting month-old threads. Some are still active(if they are) shouldn't be deleted until they are dead. Some of those threads could have important information or be an ongoing discussion.

And to newcomers it will appear we have a tiny amount of threads, which is not the image we want to show to them.

then lets just bump all of the active threads and leave the old ones to rot on the 4th page

We shouldn't deleted old threads, but move it to an archive from members to view but are not allowed to post...
I think this will show them a lot of forum history...

Not the thread itself. In other words, delete dead threads.

"dead" threads. Some important threads are month old, though....

Well, if you think a thread is important, don't delete it. As for restoring links, everybody, I have been working on the Important Links For New Members thread in the Welcome board. At first all the links were broken. I've managed to find 3 of the 5 threads and fix the links to them, but I still haven't found the Dan-Ball guide or General Guide for New Members threads. If anyone finds those, please fix the link for me. Thanks.

Why does everyone ignore the EXACT SAME thread I made a couple weeks ago, but pounce on this one?

Why does everyone ignore the EXACT SAME thread I made a couple weeks ago, but pounce on this one? You made one like this before??? I don't know, maybe its just because I'm TSL, and I'm cooler than you, and I just dramatically returned to the site after being gone and all, you know? Everyone loves me here.

That's probably it...
Anyhow, anything else we need to restore?
"Forum Restoration" brings up bad memories... could we please name it something else? Something unrelated to Secret?

Does it really matter what we name it? Come on.
Anyway, I think everyone should post in this thread to inform everyone else of what they've been doing. I, for instance, am working on deleting old/unimportant threads in the Help board at the moment.

Let's make a new Board...called Museum, where all the threads go, so people can see the history.

Well that's what I mean. When you click the "Remove Topic" button, it automatically goes to the trash bin. Once it's there I don't touch it.
Sorry if I wasn't clear about that.

It does? I thought it removed it forever. TO THE TEST BOARD!
EDIT: It doesn't. It removes it forever.
