Why OR gate have 2x Vcc - this one is really bad
It should be possible to make AND gate only with 1 Vcc

It's just that each "transistor" requires a supply voltage. A single Vcc could probably feed a few transistors. These gates work because thunder collides with itself and cancels (examine the NOT gate in detail to see this), so they work best if there's a steady flow at each collision site.

Ok, I think I understand these, but what is the use of them? If they require a steady, predictable flow of thunder, then they cannot be used, and thay take up too much space.

There are 2 rules about disappearing thunder in metal: *canceling when thunders move in opposite direction (2 dots) *only 1 thunder in one place (1 dot disappear)

By steady and predictale I persume you mean thunder that doesn't vanish beoe cloning. That can be solved easily.

Can someone please invent a railroad switch for lasers? ... ...Please? OK, I'm not that desperate, but still.
EDIT: OK, yes I am desperate. First one to make it gets 5 karma. O.O I'm allowed to do that, right?

Youre an assistant administrator*. Its your call.
But whats a Railroad Switch. Okay, not what i mean. I mean whats it have to do with laser.
* lol. ASSistant. Thats funny. Just got to put the stress on the right part of the word. If you need a lesson on Sylables, i'll have to administer it by abnormally painful injection from exceptionally large needle. Okay, maybe not.

a switch where if activated will use a separate gate instead of a default one

Post by FoxtrotZero on Jan 10, 2009 1:06:06 GMT -5
hmm. i'll have to do some thinking. Does it have to be laser activated?
Edit: This switch is near obsolete. If you want a current to go one way by default, then it will. If you want the current to go a second direction when activated, just take THAT imput and direct it to where you want it. You just need a mechanism to stop laser in its tracks. And i havent made a reliable one yet. Other than that, its just compiling it into a clever little mechanism.

Laser can affect the outcome of a thunder logic gate by intersecting with key parts...
If thunder is released in a switch that does NOT LOOP (thunder vanishes later), the laser will fail to bounce off the thunder, resulting in it being unable to affect the gate, making the outcome different.
Only works if you are adding thunder to switch

Here is an all laser switch, but only one use.

That is the first time that soapy has ever been used in electronics. Lol, kinda sad. But it is not all laser. Just the inputs and outputs.

Soapy would be nice if getting hit by thunder wouldn't cause masses of bubbles everywhere.

Don't we have powder for that? Powder gets violently thrown around, but that can be controlled.
Anyway, the problem with that is noticeable. I can't remember who, someone was going to use that idea to regulate the flow of thunder. Except laser isn't predictable. Because it moves at different speeds and has breaks in it, its possible, even if not plausible, for thunder to slip through at the moment there isn't a constricting laser beam and just one laser dot in the wrong place can screw up the entire operation.

Is there any powder other than stone that is not burned/destroyed by laser and does not destroy metal? If there is, then it is possible to make a reusable switch.
