Almost every new video game system has better graphics than the previous generation. I hope that one day there will be real time raytracing in EVERY video game, and maybe even holograms!

That is really farfetched. Holograms are existant, but full of flaws. It would be cool if that worked, though.

Imo, once the best graphical abilities have been acheived, people will actually start making good or fun games. Maybe developers will regress to the days of the SNES and Mega Drive and make awesome 2D games. Not likely to happen though, every damn game released nowadays is an FPS or a minigame compendium.

Some FPS games (like CoD4 and WaW, and Fallout 3) succeed, while others are basically just remakes with different graphics, guns, controls, and storylines.

I was thinking the same thing. A bunch of games these days mostly focus on graphics. I really miss all the Playstation 1 RPGs... They had horrible graphics (who cares? XD), but they were better than any Xbox 360 or PS3 game.

IMO, you can't improve on the PS1, good graphics, cheap price, good games. But in the future, games will be controlled with your mind. They have the technology, and have simple "Games" That require moving objects around with your mind, and this is very cool. The only flaw is that you can express NO other emotion other than the goal you are trying to achieve.

I really don't care about the difference between wii and ps3 graphics. I prefer wii graphics to n64 graphics, but it really doesn't matter. Just as long as its fun is all that matters. I don't think holograms has much to do with graphics. And I actually don't want mind controlled games. AND defiantly not games that alter your mind.

They can't monitor your thoughts, it just comes in as Beta Waves.

I think using a game with your mind would be too frustrating. People can get distracted and mess up the game or something, especially people with ADHD. And also, what's the point? How is it better then pressing buttons? To show off, or make consoles even more expensive? Buttons are just as good as using your mind, maybe even better! Sometimes I play a video game while I think about something else, like "How much homework do I have?". Another thing that just occurred to me: How would you play with strategy if you're busy using your mind to control the game? Anyways, I think it would just be too complicated and pointless. Scientists and game designers should focusing on more important things, like making GOOD (GOOD[GOOD]) games.
