OK. I really hope this thread is useful. I made this thread to warn people about chat bans.
What is a Chat ban:
Simply, you can't talk and your messages won't appear on chat. Your Chatango name, IP address, and Banner will be posted in the Ban list.
Reasons for Bans. These lengths and durations are subject to change.
With TheListo's Aprovement, I will list the Chat ban list as of Current time.
Reason 1: Spamming. Duration- 24h-2 days depending on level of attitude.
Basically, if you spam a whole lot and don't stop, you will be removed from chat.
Reason 2: Swearing (This applies too current Chat mods). Duration- Varies.
You say a bad word on Live chat. Will often go by normally, but if you spam swear words, expect a remove. An exception to this would be TheListo's Friday Night "Sh- Word" hour, in which all people on chat said the Sh-word for about 10 minutes. Lot's of L0lz.
Reason 3: Inappropriate websites/links. Duration- Forever (Adult Content) or Post delete (RickRoll sites include Smouch)
For the love of all things Listo, NEVER. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Post rude images. If you do, Kick, Delete, Ban, and removal of stuff.
Reason 4: RACISM. Duration- FOREVER unless proven Innocent by Judge.
I will not tolerate this at all. If there is racism when mods aren't around, screen it, and send it to a chat mods Dan-Ball account. This include Dem's. That joke isn't funny anymore..
Reason 5: Impersonation. Duration- Varies. 24 hours- forever depending on impersonation.
Chatango is flawed in many ways. Here is one. Multiple accounts.
Under NO circumstances are any members of chat allowed to Impersonate other chat members. Especially if that person is a Chat mod. If you see a moderator on another mod's account, Screen him/her, and post on forums.
Reason 6: Power Abuse. Punishment- Demotion.
Should any mods be abusing their powers I.E Banning for no reason, illegal cleaning of chat, or other abuse, please screen the abuse and report to a Chat mod.
Should more reasons be required, I will update the thread. If Listo approves, this thread will be moved to announcements and have the current Moderator List available.
