Just a quick reminder about the importance of the chat rules.
Also, a quick idea: Adding the chat rules in the global footer right below the chat box itself. This makes many people who use the chat, but rarely the forums, able to easily find the rules. nevermind...
Also, personally, I'll try not to break any chat rules, as should all staff especially. THAT INCLUDES STEALING PEOPLE PASSWORDS AND USING THEIR ACCOUNTS, DHOOM! IMPERSONATION IS AGAINST THE RULES!
I'm not too good at this whole "serious post" thing... I'll let SpritBot take it from here...

oh...nice. ok, first off, I DO say "lol" and such a lot. I'm not completely serious! i'm only serious when I need to be...such as now.
so...this has been a problem with many of the members (not all, mind you) and many of the mods (again, not all) Chat rule #5: No form of Harrasment. I was a bit humiliated today by a good friend of ours "TheHumpingPotato" who, for some odd reason, is a mod.
ALL STAFF, THIS IS DIRECTED AT YOU:
First off, just because Listo isn't on, doesn't make it ok. Members should mind the Mods, and Mods should mind each other. even though we can't ban each other, and deleting posts seems pointless as it was still typed, posted, and burned into our memories, this doesn't mean "act however you want until listo arrives". Second, just because Listo is doing it, doesn't mean it's ok either. please, please, pleeease mind the rules AND any mods who DON'T have any particular interest in participating in weird events like "Swear-Off Friday". Third, giving a Mod any crap about how they're being too serious or anything (unless they really are going overboard) should be counted as a flame. if not, it should at least be recognized as a futile attempt to sway the Mod out of doing his/her job, and said Mod should have restriction rights. (that's a ban for 15 min. if this should be used, please do not forget to unban the person afterwards) Fourth, if a Mod is not doing his/her job right, Members should have full right to reporting the Mod without any sort of crap from said Mod. if the Mod is to ban the person to hide themselves from being reported, that should go as an imediate demotion. (the person can still post it on the forum, or on private chat to any other mod who can then report to listo)
I'm drawing the line here. Chat rule #9: Do not act immature. many of you may cross this line. everyone makes mistakes, so if your intent is only for the best, then we can let it slide...for a bit. I suppose there should be warnings tho, so how about this: For members, warning thing stays the same. For Mods/Staff, 3 chances: 30% warning (first offense) 60% (second) and then demotion or ban. (but only a verbal warning needed if they're not being too bad or anything) Listo's own words: "They should know better".
what do ya'll think?

Problem with the last part it, the viewpoint of it changes from person to person. It isn't really a set, obvious limit, more of a blurred line.\
Also, the mod may ban the person on the forums, too.
Besides that, good explanation of the problem.
Also, Dhoom (or anyone else for that matter), I AGAIN REMIND YOU NOT TO STEAL MY ACCOUNTS AND IMPERSONATE ME ON THEM, AS YOU HAVE DONE MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE PAST.
If anyone sees me being... me... on the chat, please remember to check my IP. If it is me, then I'll try to stop. If it is someone else, please report him.
Just to let everyone know.
In the meantime, I will be using the account "ServantOfTheListo" instead. I'll ask Listo to demote the other two later.

Yes, these sound good. Also mention that a screenshot is also helpful, as is several witnesses. That's how I brought justice to Absolix when he cussed a few people.

Today, Me, SoL, and SC "lectured" (as he put it) Arch today. He was going against a rule that I think should be minded more, "No harrasment", and we enforced that rule. he left in a huff, not sorry at all or anything. Idk why he's still a chat mod, I've asked listo on several occasions of him being dumb, to take away his mod abilities as he doesn't deserve them. But I feel like I'm jumping to conclusions. what do y'all think? should Arch stay a chat mod? or should he be allowed to be temp-banned so he can learn to chill or just leave? If he were to be demodded, we might be too rough on him, being able to ban him. on the other hand, we are enforcing these rules more than ever, and he should have already learned to go by them at least a little bit, even when we weren't enforcing them as much. but Idk. what do y'all think?

at least demoted. Maybe not temp banned... the fact that we can ban him should be enough to stop him. If it isn't, temp ban.

can you post any screenshots that would pretty clearly show a lack of maturity of general need for demotion? if so, it would be a big help to your argument.

Two witnesses... good evidence. Still, we should get some screenshots.

Here ya'll go. I think it's pretty obvious what's happening in the picture. Of course, the people on the chat at that time are witnesses. That good? They are witnesses, so are TBP and Memichan. Can we demote him now?

Well, while we are waiting for an answer, I guess we may as well get more evidence.

i think he could probably be demoted now, at least temp. if he wants to get back his mod powers he has to do the opposite of what he did to lose them. he has to be nice to those of the n00bish persuasion, be helpful when people have questions, and other things in that spirit.

How can he do the opposite if he doesn't have the powers to do it?
