I see that a lot of you do "mag full swing" for magicians, and although this is logical, from the japanese stick ranger wiki (translated of course) I found a lot of different builds, and I find that the 30 points of dex, and then the rest into mag build works well, because I'm the type of strategist who values speed over power . . .

12 points in magic for snipers? Is that supposed to be a handicap against you? In other news, I'm trying out a new build-- The Extreme Cold Build. Note you may substitute anything for a boxer with freeze glove+diamond Gladiator | Gladiator | Magician | Magician | Ice Sword | Ice Sword | Ice Orb | Freeze Orb | Aquamarine | Aquamarine | Aquamarine | Diamond |
You should test it out in the real game first, to determine if all the cold effects stack up (because I doubt it does). About the Critical's card thing: next time, please try your build out before recommending it After all, this thread is for your to post your builds, not hypothetical builds to try out. No one would want to try a build that you haven't verified. =) Triple Shot may have crazy range that decimates any creature from afar, but if you're looking to kill enemies quickly, I'm afraid Triple Shot is not effective unless 1) at close range 2) at a super super high level, where four arrows would do more collective damage than 1-3 arrows (even so, Triple Arrow does more damage, at the cost of range). DarkRaine: You are absolutely right. In the long run, DEX will pay off very well for your magician. MAG increases a magician's damage VERY slowly. DEX multiplies a mage damage by allowing it to fire faster, which has the additional bonus of increasing effectiveness of elemental attacks.

My best build (but much boring cause none cool magical effects):
3x sniper - full dex + triple shot + bullet (+33% to attack) + critical (25% attack) or crystal 20% attack 1x priest - full str (20lvl - 40%attack) + long staff + 5 str crys (5% attack) + 5 dex (-1 damage)
Most of monster are killed from safe range and power of my sniper is like having over 6 of them :>
- really high dmg and fire ratio - low damage cause killing from range, and really high dmg in short range (all 4 arrows hits target - same effect in big bosses from distance :>)

Well, my main game is pretty good in power, and I don't have any problems with enemies taking me out. Unless I unscrupulously attack the Castle Boss, in which case I take my time with a poison arrow until he is low, and either finish him off with that same weapon or bring all of my rangers to deal some finishing blows.
I do see your point, though, and it is a valid one...

Four Snipers, each with pure dex and quad arrows. By lvl 20 they were able to beat the castle boss without any of them dying and with no interference from me [meaning they walked right into him], so I'd say this works surprisingly well.
When I thought up and started using this build, all I could think was: "Our arrows will blot out the sun!"

My main has a priest, two snipers and a magician. But I found it amazingly cheap with 4 snipers or 4 magicians. I mean with 4 snipers, then get oct arrow. Wow 32 arrows and 36 with bullet's card. ARROW STORM! 4 Magicians are cheap because of different orbs. One person could be freeze, another thunder, blizzard and last one volcano. Then the opponent would freeze, suffer immerse amount of damage from volcano and thunder, and get slowed by blizzard.
P.S. I like saying "cheap".
