On another forum, I have seen a punishment where, if someone's warning level gets above a certain level, they are put in a member group called " "PWNT! '-' ". The name can be changed. In this status, their name changes to black, and they lose many rights, like seeing certain boards, like general.
This method was very effective. Please discuss what you think about it.

I never pronounce names wrong. People just want them mispronounced for some reason.

Maybe not PWNT, but that would work. The general idea could be very effective for giving spammers what they asked for.

Yup. Also, it is not quite a ban, but worse than a warning.
Maybe a better name would be..?

I didn't even know there was a forum about those books... hmm... Anyway, this sounds good, but we still need a name, and effects of that name. Maybe "immature?" You can't access the General Chat, Spam, Contests, the Special Board, or (as if a staff member would do this kind of thing) the Staff Lounge.
(SOMEWHAT OFF-TOPIC)Another thing we could dob(if we ban someone) is change their avatar to a big "BANNED" picture. I've seen that on a few forums, and now adding the Inheritance Forums to the list.

A forum about something on the internet is fine, but a forum about a BOOK! Who the hell GOES THERE?

I have a few ideas.....
N00b Spammer Under Watch* Rule-Breaker
*The reason "Under Watch" may work is because I think all who get this punishment should not only be limited to a certain amount of boards, they should also be kept under close watch by a certain staff member.
E.G. If, say, Memzak was put under this rank, we should assign a certain staff member(Let's say this is Qwertyuiop) to watch over him. Now, if Memzak were to do anything that would worsen his punishments(Perhaps flamed someone), Qwertyuiop would need to deal with it and punish Memzak accordingly.
Just an example.

hmm, I like both those ideas.
Also, if they are in the 'n00b' category, they have their signature and avatar removed and warned not to add them again or suffer a punishment. Avatar may be changed to 'i is a n00b' or something. Signatures may be stored to be replaces when it is over.
Just some ideas.

That could work. We could store the Avatars and Sigs in the Staff Lounge where they can't be accessed. Then we send them a PM (Or we could leave them in the dark) to tell them what is happening and why, and after a few weeks (depending on the crime), we give them their privileges back, but we still watch them for about a week.
OK. Now we need Listo's approval of this.

Well, if we don't send a PM, they may try to re-add it.
Anyhow, yes we do. That way, he can make the new member group.

Well, no. Any default admin can make a new user group.

It is not because he is the only one with the ability to do it, it is because he is he owner of the forum that you need his approval to carry this out.

I know. I am stating that you have the power to make and destroy such a group if Listo wishes to do so later.
