Prologue
The being that looked human but wasn't awoke in a tube filled with glowing green water. The glow had illuminated a large area of the room. A group of scientists were scattered around the room. The being tried to break out, but it was no use. Noticing these actions, the scientists huddled around its tube, looking excited. Still attempting to break free, the being gave up and stopped moving. Their emotions fading after a while, the scientists returned to the machines that stabilized the creature.
Looking around, the being spotted another tube, this one filled with orange water. Inside held a man with unusual features. His hair was long and grey, and he had fangs sticking slightly out of his mouth. Was he some kind of Half-Demon? Then, an alarm went off. The scientists ran out of the room to investigate. The being went wild, and blasted a hole through the tube. The water spilled out, and the monster, named Zodakan, dropped to the floor. Taking his armor, for everything else of his had been destroyed, he grabbed a hammer and smashed the Demon's tube and lifted the being up. He was wearing a dark robe, and seemed peacefully asleep. Zodakan lifted him onto his shoulders and ran out, aware of the many scientists that were outside.
Chapter 1
Escape from the Base
Dodging the laser bullets that flew at him, Zodakan, carrying the wolf demon, on his shoulders, ran past the scientists. Turning the corner, he ran inot a dark room. The scientists ran past, unaware he was in the room. Looking around, Zodakan noticed a ventilation shaft. Climbing up, he opened it, stuffed the demon inside, climbed into it as well, and closed the duct. Crawling through the air vents, Zodakan had no idea of the area, so he had to rely on his ultra-heightened instincts. He tried to sniff out any fresh air, but he was too deep in the base to detect it. Constantly, quietly shifting from air duct to air duct, he heard noises. Wind, animals... the sound of sand. Just then, Zodakan knew where he was. He was in a base, in the middle of the desert.
Crawling as quickly as he could, he heard a commotion from under him. Looking through the opening, he saw a men dressed in grey robes with scarlet markings on it, and a scientist, who was on his knees. "Yes, I know, Dokan, but he has escaped, and he took the Wolf Demon with him." "You have failed me, Druka." As Dokan raised his sword to strike the scientist, he began stuttering madly. "No, please. Please, Dokan! Have mercy!!" His screams were the last noise. Then, with a deafening woosh, the scientist's head fell to the ground. "I don't like being dissapointed," Dokan said. As he walked away, Zodakan continued scurrying through the vents, until he saw bright lights. He had made it out! Bursting through the vent, he picked up the Wolf Demon and ran.
Chapter 2
Danger in the Desert
Danger in the Desert
As Zodakan ran through the desert, the wolf demon still unconcious, he spotted a nearby oasis. It was getting dark, and he should rest for the night. Stopping at the oasis, there was plenty of water and grass. He set up a small camp and placed the demon in it. Zodakan, not needing slep but rest, guarded outside.
As Zodakan sat there, he heard a rustling noise from within the camp. He looked behind him, and saw the demon poke his head out of the tent. Zodakan, looking emotionless, said "State your name." Looking nervous, the demon said "Kogan." Zodakan stood up. "You're awake now. Let's get some supplies and get going." "Who are you?" "My name is Zodakan. We were imprisoned in tubes in some kind of lab.... there." Raising a hand, he pointed at the base, which looked small from where they were. "We need to get out of this godforsaken desert."
Just then, the earth began rumbling, and a giant SnakeDemon burst from the ground. Zodakan prepared to attack, but Kogan beat him. Leaping in the air and raising a claw, he slashed the demon in the head. Dodging it's lunges, he continued attacking it, until he stabbed it in the brain with his claws. Falling over dead, Zodakan seemed satisfied. "Not bad, Kogan." "It was nothing." Zodakan grabbed a large chunk of the demon and prepared a fire. Eating their fill, Kogan and Zodakan gathered some water and food, then left North for a large cave. The scientists were still after them, and they needed to hide until they were gone.
As they entered the cave, they were ambushed by a being that was covered in rocks and bones. "Kogan shouted "What the hell is that thing?!" "It's a BoneStone. Hit it where the bones are, those are it's weak points!" Each of them slashing the bone areas until the BoneStone had fallen over. "It's dangerous, Kogan. We will need to be careful." Then they continued into the dark cave.
Chapter 3
What Lurks in the Cave
What Lurks in the Cave
Walking thorugh the dark cave, Zodakan and Kogan were cautious. Hearing strange noises, they suddenly heard a man's scream of terror not too far ahead. Running to it, they came along a fork in the road. "Which one?" Kogan seemed ready for battle. Hearing a scream again, Zodakan said "This way!" and went through the right path. They came in a room where giant crystals illluminated the whole room. There were bones everywhere. A giant demon sat in the back of the cave, a large group of humans in front of it, about to be its next meal.
Kogan immediately took action, running at the demon and jumping high. Kicking it in the face, the beast backhanded him, sending Kogan flying. Zodakan noticed a sword nearby. Grabbing it, he ran at the demon from an angle where it couldn't see him. "You're going down!" Slashing the demon's eye, the monster screeched in agony. It then spoke for the first time. "You dare attack me?! I will destroy you!!!!" Opening it's mouth, a giant pillar of fire burst from its mouth. "Holy
Grabbing the dark one, Zodakan glowed with darkness from his core. His eyes pulsed red, then returned to a dull grey. Kogan took the one of wind, and he found himself more powerful. Demon winds flowed around him, then slowly vanished. They walked out of the cave, and headed back to the base.
Biographies
BoneStone
A bonestone is a wicked creature that uses stones and bones as protection. It's a demon that has a soft, penetrable body, so it uses bones and large rocks as a protective covering. These creatures often form groups to take down enemies and prey. It's not very smart, so you can easily outwit it. Also, bones aren't as hard as rocks, so if you destroy the bones, you can kill it.
