A suggestion:

* Signatures must be under 250 pixels high and 550 pixels wide.
* File size must be under 100 kB. Smaller is best (< 30 kB recommended).
* No links that give you "rewards" or rating points from member's clicks.
* No offensive content (swearing, adult links, annoying flashing graphics, etc), or links to harmful programs or pranks.
* No images showing the other user's IP Address, service provider, operating system, etc.
* No links that log users out of the forum.

All images, text, and blank lines COMBINED should be under 250 pixels tall.

Text lines longer than 550 pixels are OK if they automatically wrap. But text in a <code box> must NOT exceed 550 pixels wide.

Avatar Rules:

* Custom avatars should be 100 x 100 pixels or smaller. Re-size your avatar BEFORE you use it.
* File size must be under 100 kB. Smaller is best (<30 kB is recommended).
* No offensive avatars (adult material, annoying flashes, etc)

Signatures and avatars violating these rules will be removed without warning.
Repeat offenders will have their account closed.

This is what our ever-absent Graphic Artist decreed concerning signatures:

As for your text suggestion...well, how many lines of text would be permitted at maximum in that rule at the default size 2 unmodified font?

I dunno...But that wasn't that official and followed. I suggest a punishment as removing it, replacing it with "This is why your siggy was removed..." and some warn.

Its kinda rude to make other people download 2.3 MB of siggy just to make it look cool.

the whole sihnature box for me is

541 pixels wide
and 277 pixels high

I get to keep mine!
