We have hundreds of members who have made an account and never used it. I think that we should simply delete every account that hasn't made more then 5 posts here or hasn't logged on in 6 months or more. Leaving out of course, antique/gone members like SK. But ones like this person right here --> danballforums.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=acealtplus6

2 Reasons why not too...
What if they made it and forgot, and th ey came back... (I know it is improbable but still)
and secondly: It would make more than 700 members, Gone...
thus making the forums look like it is VERY small, opposed to 800+ members...

If they have forgotten for more then 6 months, then they should at least make a new account. I'm just saying that we have so many accounts that are months old, and have never been used.

You both have a point, although I personally think V.I.R.O.S.'s point is stronger...
TheListo really ought to bring his input to this thread...

Yeah, and also, we had athread about this a long way back, but, as it turns out, we decided not to, for the very same as VIROS' reasons.

V.I.R.O.S. says that we SHOULD delete inactive members. What you just said does not make too much sense.

What's the use of deleting them? Fun?

It's not like having them there is doing anything other than looking more popular. But get this: All but the BIGGEST forums have only a handful of fully active members. I am a member of a forum with 1,000+ members, and although most of them have posted (you need at least one post to get access to their code and skin database) none of them are actually active. You can see here: forum.smangii.com

Also, they are good for advertising. It is fact that we have 800+ members, but we don't mention only a few are active. They're helping us, and not doing anything.
