Even in my screen resolution, there are over a page (page being area viewable without scrolling at default resolution) of announcements. Do we seriously need all these?
Too many stickies, too.

Yup, certainly...I shall try and find some more to delete. Oh, and well done for getting the board admin job.

I think the boards are fine, and your idea is great, but we should add some exceptions (if there are a couple very important things in one category, or something important in the misc category)
We should split the "announcements" board into those four, disable posting on the main announcements board and move the threads as necessary, and perhaps allow only staff to make topics on those boards, although members may post.

Okay, I'll get to changing the board settings, but moving the threads is something I'll need help in.
No point showing the announcements on those boards...
I've sorted out the announcements and removed the current ones (rules excepted). It's up to you to choose the most important from each category.

Also, what to do about the stickies? There is almost a page of stickies on general talk alone, and they can get as annoying as the announcements. Few of them actually deserve to be stickies. Not every thread has to be stickied.
