I was wondering if we should start sending out welcome messages to all the new people who come here. I volunteer to do this manually, of course.
Any ideas for what message I should send?

... Maybe hello and welcome to the forums! We could probably write a code to do this.

there already is a code to replicate it, but it isn't the same as an actual PM. You can't reply to it or anything.
Making a code for an actual PM would be against ToS.

Oh yeah i forgot about the ToS. Darn. It would have been cool. Maybe we should just have a seperate welcome table for guests.

we aren't talking guests here...
Don't worry, it's no trouble for me. Imagine, you join a forum, then you actually get a personal PM that you know isn't fake or impersonal because you don't have it the moment you join the forums.

Didn't I suggest this before? I'm pretty sure I did.

Well, I'm bringing it back up. I used to do it anyway, now I'm just asking for an official message.
