Rule 163 follows the Transitive Property of Equality: there is no fallacy.
Rule 165 equates 1337 to 0?

Well, I kind of divided by zero get that rule to work....<_< >_>
Rule 163 has a fallacy because I can apply it to anything.
I am human (I think), you are human, therefore I am you.

Yes, I forgot to cross that out after the discussion in chat...
The Transitive POE deals with values, not with qualitative descriptions...

on your new question, you have to divide by 0
X*Y=XY XY/Y=X
1337*0=0 0/0=1337
0*0=0 0/0=0
Therefore, 0=1337

Actually, as I have discussed in my Math Misconceptions thread, 0/0 is an indeterminate quantity that has an infinite number of possible values, including but not limited to the concept of infinity. DO NOT SPAM OR POST USELESS COMMENTSUNDER CONSTRUCTION Throughout the forums some users mistakenly believe in false principles concerning certain mathematical entities, such as 0/0. Non-zero number divided by zero:x/y=z x/0=z x=0*z x=0 This does not work out because x was defined as a non-zero number, a number which does not equal zero. A number which does not equal zero cannot equal zero. The above expression (x/0) is considered undefined. Zero divided by zero:x/y=z 0/0=z 0=0*z 0=0 The above expression is true no matter what value of z you have because z has no effect on the validity of the expression. The expression 0/0 is considered indeterminate. The "value" of 0/0 depends upon the mathematical context in which you find it in, in which case a knowledge of limits will greatly help to determine what value 0/0 approaches. For example, if Y=(x 2-1)/(x-1) and x=1, (a) what does y equal? (b) What value does y approach without actually being equal to? (a)Setup | Explanation | Y=(x2-1)/(x-1) | Original expression | Y=((1)2-1)/(1-1) | Substitution | Y=(1-1)/(1-1) | Evaluate | Y=0/0 | Evaluate |
The value of Y at x=1 cannot be determined. (b)Setup | Explanation | lim(x ► 1)Y=lim(x ► 1)(x2-1)/(x-1) | Original expression | lim(x ► 1)Y=lim(x ► 1)((x+1)(x-1))/(x-1) | Factor out | lim(x ► 1)Y=lim(x ► 1)(x+1) | Simplify limit* | lim(x ► 1)Y=(1+1) | Evaluate limit | lim(x ► 1)Y=2 | Evaluate |
As x gets infinitely closer to 1, Y approaches 2. Zero to the zeroth power:Setup | Explanation | bm+n=bm*bn | Sum property of exponents | bn-n=bm/bn | Difference property of exponents | n+0=n | Zero addition property of equality | 0=n-n | Subtract n from each side | 00=0n-n | Substitution | 00=0n/0n | Substitution (Quotient property of exponents) | 00=0/0 | 0 raised to non-zero number is zero | 00 is indeterminate | 0/0 is indeterminate |
0 0 is just another way of expressing 0/0, which is indeterminate.
Therefore, if 1337 = 0/0, then 1337 has an infinite number of possibilities...

Shhh! They don't know that!
I had a really great law and now I forgot it.

Therefore, 0/0 is equal to everything, thus everything is equal to everything else, resulting in a more perfect union.

Added laws 182-184 (added a useless law in the middle, so it's at 181 now).

I have the original laws, so since I'm just copy-pasting the document into the post, 188 will come back every time I edit the law.
