Thing i wrote around about January/February in school, we got given a title and had to write a story on it. Again, not my best, lol. Not a creepy one!
The breeze of the cold night's air blew gently against Grace, as she stood out on the glass balcony. Dressed in nothing but a silk night-dress, which flowed in the wind, she was unable to sleep. Her hair was in tangles, for it had not been brushed. Her golden-blonde curls were swept back. Her skin looked so pure in the shimmering moonlight.
The closer she went to the balcony edge, the nearer she was to the stars that lit the sky. She longed to be able to reach out and catch a star in the palms of her hands. She let out a sigh, and bending over the balcony slightly, saw that his car was gone.
A single tear escaped from her baby blue eyes, and fell to the earth without a sound.
Grace shut her eyes, and imagined if he was here. Her hand in his, the breeze against their faces; chilling, but they would not notice nor care; as as their faces came closer, and closer, and then... a swift kiss.
But it would be too quick. He would back off inside, leaving Grace just standing there. Would he come back?...
Her eyes now open, she let out a cry. I want him so bad. Why did he have to go? Maybe he felt the same about her... but that was hardly possible. He had moved on. Found a girl he loved more than her.
“He said he loved me,” Her voice as cold as the night. He had hugged her and sworn it. But it was just like the promise of a little child, fake and forgotten.
Why had she depended on him so? She was so empty and alone now. Now there was nobody to tell her “It's alright.” It had never been alright. Now her bed would be cold at night... Now what.
She stood up, and turned her back to the world. She didn't care about some silly little boy! A silly little boy who tells lies. How immature. She would be better than a liar... Always. She let out a smile for the whole word to see.
The Broken Promise
