This thread is where experienced (somewhat) PG members will talk about being able to control elements such as ant, bomb, thunder, wind, and more later on. Maybe even superball, fierworks, vine, etc. Then the less experienced members can learn more about these elements we may all be taking for granted. By control I mean being able to create a flawless scenario using an unpredictable element that produces exact results every time. Anything related to this goal may be posted in this thread. Oh, and feel free to ask any questions as well. Please tell me if this thread description should be altered in any way!
EDIT: MAYBE YOU SHOULD USE PICTURES INSTEAD OF DOZENS OF CODES FOR THE LESS EXPERIENCED PLAYERS.

I think that the best 'element' in PG to research would be ant. It's the complex element that not many of us haven't given much attention to, and it probably has more to it than we know.

Is it safe to say that the ant's coordinates on the screen doesn't affect it's behavior? I think so.

This shows that ant will follow a metal path. When the ant reaches an intersection , it will take the counter-clockwise turn. It can also follow diagonal paths.

It seems that, given a single element with ANT on top of it without BLOCK or another element in the immediate vicinity, ANT will burrow to the top-right of the screen. This is what the ANT does frame by frame: - Displace pixel directly underneath it (cell r), form same pixels in cells h and i.
- Form same pixels in cells q and r.
- Displace pixel directly above it (cell h), form same pixels in cells b and g.
- Displace pixel directly to the right (cell n), form same pixels in cells i and j.
- Repeat step 2.
- Repeat step 3.
- Repeat step 4.
- Repeat step 2.

Hmm...based on that result, there is ultimately no definite path that the ant takes. I have gone through frame by frame using the [Enter] key and noticed the ANT at different positions after the same number of steps from the saved origin.

Well one generic pseudo-block is just having a line of clone covered in suds, but then that pseudo-block can't be controlled because there's no way to alter it without user input of the clear button.

[glow=red,2,300]Ahem we all know there is an ant thread right!?![/glow]
THIS THREAD WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WHERE WE WOULD FIND BETTER USES FOR ALL OF THE ELEMENTS WE HAVE NOT YET LEARNED EVERY USE OF!
Please either change the subject a little or go to another post, because we are not going to study ants the whole time!

I agree with you artcoursecannon. Ant is should be discussed over in the ANT thread. Anything else is good? I have nothing to give on the CUE idea except that.

Ant is the only "unpredictible element" and that's only because I haven't took the time to study it yet.

Nonethaless. If this is a unpredictable element thread. Then ANT can be discussed. Then it will. Thats the only unpredictable element thats actually useful.

I would like to know more about air movement, I know there's been a lot of work done on it (I was making clasic air lazers earlier today) but it's what makes powder game special and deserves special attention.

Agreed. No one ever makes air lasers anymore. Wasn't I one of the original Air Laser Makers of early pg. Ok. Air pretty simple and not realy unpredictable. Is it. I think I understand air. You can tell how explosive an element is and how much air it produces on the list of elements. And besides. I also have learned that the manual air and wind tool becomes weaker on pin size 8 and 9 when at 8x speed.

Ya, I'm not saying I don't know anything about air but still

Have you seen some of my old lasers. I stunk at that time but I got the concept of making wind lasers without having to have alligned fan. Which is good. (Typo)

In powder game (by experiments) I can tell that there are only 2 forces in it: - Diffusion - Wind (kinetic energy of air) As for diffusion for a single dot of air: Biggest part is left in place, medium part is in the horizontal and vertical way and small part in the between. Diffusion is made only from next to it boxes (range 1 grid box). Wind is made when the air flow (diffusion) isn't symmetrical and depend on it's direction. Wind course air pressure to expand faster then 1 box (big influence)... Ok it's way from good data, but something like that i got, by manipulating and other ways with air... Center is more or less 60% of what it was last frame and those vertical and horizontal have 2x (probably little less then 2) higher pressure then those on edge... But I don't have to many ways to check how wind is creating and influence of the wind... EDIT: As for wind, wind is faster then diffusion(1 thing to do is to move air and then moved air is diffusing), it move lot of air depending on it strainght... Pen size don't change strength of "wind" tool. Some old post about air and wind in PG...
