Hi, just a few quick questions for someone stupid like me. XD
1. Can anybody explain the Staves to me? Of course the Long Staff is the best, because it has the longest range and thus the biggest aura radius. But why bother to put the Battle Staff in? Or what is the advantage of using the Thunder Staff?
2. If you raise your DEX the Def-Aura-number rises. But what does it actually mean? E.g. if I have Def 10.0, does it mean that every damage I would take is minus 10 (to a minimum of 1 of course)?

I'm pretty sure that for every point of DEF, it reduces damage by 1 point. : D

the battle and thunder staff are the aggressive staffs for the priests, ones to attack with that have higher damage....
although I still prefer long staff....

1. Did you have a look at the articles about the Priest and the Staves in the Dan-Ball wiki? The advantage of the other staves might be, that you have higher AT values, and you can improve them with jewels. Also you have the slow effect for the Staff of Ice. The Battle staff only makes sense if you want to create a melee character. I also think that the long range of the Long Staff outweights this small bit more damage. 2. Afaik: Yes! /me

IMO there is very little use for a staff besides the long staff. There are a few exceptions, for instance if you only have melee characters, you can also use a short ranged staff, because then you deal more damage, and they are in the aura anyway (because on autowalk, all guys just walk to the first enemy). Another exception perhaps is if you try the VS mode with only priest(s) and snipers. Then you might want the priest to die first, so you give him a short ranged staff and there you go. And there are very few situations, especially early on in the game, when a lot of enemies get stuck on one of those high elevations in a level. You can kill them pretty easy with a priest, but of course it takes time, so you can give him the highest AT staff just for that moment. *edit* I think the staff of ice is not worth it, because of its short range, and it just slows the enemies movement, the attacks are as fast as without.

meh, I agree with me and still stick to my post...
I don't like battle staffs, I only like long range ones...

ok, thx guys
i just wondered, because the battle staff doesn't make much of a difference in damage but is unproportionally shortranged... and i still don't get the thunder staff. because the thunder damage is not really noticable, is it? and the ice staff only slows down for 10%, so... not really worth it...
