Heh heh. Just random story I made up about school because I was bored...
In the beginning, there was The Empire. This nation moved through the world as one, together overcoming the many dangers. It had no leader, and throughout most of the first age, lived in harmony. The Empire occupied the great cave and the surrounding lands in peace. Even though some branched out to the canyon, much of the world was still unknown. Yet one day, a group of citizens inside The Empire grew uneasy, and began to rebel. They were banished from the great cave, and so resided in the southern grasslands, calling themselves ‘The Countrymen’. And so it was. The Empire had had suffered a mighty blow, as many citizens had joined the rebellion. Suddenly, The Empire had split into two groups, each as powerful as the other. The two groups were named ‘Country’ and ‘the Guard’. The Guard set upon taking care of the great cave and canyon, in case Country were to attack. And then began the first Dark Age. As more and more of the Guard joined Country, no one in the Guard trusted any other member. It was split into three clans; each assigned a colour, so that everyone would know which allegiance another soul held. The Northerners took red, the Townians took blue, and the Southerners got yellow. Country was given green, as they occupied the Southern Grasslands.
As the clans pulled out of the Dark Age, they all realised a new force had come to the world. Communication with them was scarce, but they were called ‘the Year Sevens’. The Northerners, Townians and Southerners battled valiantly to keep hold of the great cave, but the Gods fought back, and eventually the three clans were forced to admit defeat. So they broke apart, and scoured the lands looking for a new place to call home. Towards the end of the Dark Age, the rebellion was forgotten. To this day, no one knows why. The Northerners, the clan of which I myself belong to, trekked to the Southern Grasslands, and joined Country. However, a matter of months later, the Northerners remembered the rebellion and saw the Empire of Country had grown too large for them to handle. They fled to the Northern Grasslands, next to the Desert Region in which the forest of Howlers stood. It was a risky move, but the Northerners knew it was worth it when they looked back and saw the Country Empire had already invaded the entire expanse of the Southern Grasslands. Finally away from threat, the Northerners could relax and view the surrounding world. They were now further than any explorer had gone before from the great cave. They saw that the Townians had settled in the Mountain Region, much closer to the original home and along the canyon. Their numbers were few, and soon they and the Northerners were allied. The Year Sevens had evidently not discovered the great cave, for instead they hugged the borders of the Grasslands in two separate groups. In the Year Seven’s occupation of the Northern Grasslands, the Northerners were forced to look elsewhere for shelter. They found the Tuckgrim way and camped out there. Consequently, they saw the Southerners were living in the Mountain Region, next to the Townians, although they did not mix. The Northerners discovered that every month, the Southerners make what is known as ‘the Tuckgrimage’, in which they trek along the Tuckgrim way, begging for money. It is thought that the Tuckgrimage is part of their religion, and they make their way through the hazardous Forest of Howlers, risking their own lives, to get to the Hall of Eternal Food. However, they must pay to get in, and if they do not have enough money, they immediately assume they have failed their religion and commit suicide, in either a huge pit or a cyanide chamber. This is the main reason why the Southerners are so few and have no allies.
