Hello...
I have been watching the forum for a while now..
And I have noticed that the forum is dying... slowly.
Well, if some are you are from the very beggining of the forums like me. You would notice its not as it used to be and I think I know why.
Well remember that we advertised the forums through powder game uploads... That means our targeted audience was powder game players...
But ever since powder was not being updated often, those powder game players who registered on the forums abandoned powder game and thus had no interest in the forums anymore.
Well thats all I know so far, but I was missing for a year or so, so I'm not sure what really happened.
And I think it might be too late in reviving the forums...?
But anyways thats all I'll say for now... Any thoughts on what to do? Or disagree with me? Or maybe even agree...?
EDIT: Also the forums does not feel like like the forums it used to be. It could be just me or it could be the forums. :S

The forum is changing, not dying. People still post, right? We still get new members, right? We are still active.
The problem is our reputation. Potential new members hear from others on the PGCB that we are all jerks cause of a couple people... [cough]ozone[/cough]. Plus, we have so many inside jokes, new members feel extremely unwelcome.
The people who left did so because they have lives now. They outgrew it. They were too busy.
Anyway, if you think this forum is dying, you clearly don't go on many forums. It's still waaaay more active than most other forums. Chat is active as it has ever been.
We are actually on an incline, currently. Of course, it might help if we actually did some of the things we talk about doing...

But ever since powder was not being updated often, those powder game players who registered on the forums abandoned powder game and thus had no interest in the forums anymore. That's an excellent observation, Silver. I agree that the PG community is less active nowadays, but I think we can still fish for new members in the other games like Stick Ranger, etc. We just have to keep trying. If we truly love this site, we won't let it die no matter what.

This is true. This site will never DIE, just hang on the brink of death. I can assure you, that even if everyone else leaves (incredibly unlikely), I will remain to faithfully keep it going. Just like that one monk that maintained an abandoned temple for 20 years, because no ever de-consecrated the grounds it was on.

And right next to VIROS will be me.... aye, I'll never leave this forums either. Too many memories and fun times.... I might take a break every now and then, but I'll never leave...

This forum just needs a 'Jump-start' Even 1 or 2 loyal, new members will help.
I would still visit this forum if it were dead.

Hmm...it not only is necessary for us to focus more on users that play other Dan-Ball games besides Powder Game, but there is also the task of affiliation.....
Yes, FallingSandGame Forums is a good affiliate, yet we need to branch ourselves away from the sand games. It does not matter if an affiliate is not related to us and our purpose. What does matter is if the staff and their members show an interest in our site, and vice-versa....

That is much more likely if the topic is related.

True, but we'd still likely be able to affiliate with some sites even if they have different topics. I would like to suggest that if anyone here is a member of any other site, tell us about them and tell them about us. We might be able to affiliate. We need all the help we can get.

Yeah, that is just more likely that they would in a related site.

Hey.. Do you think the other relic powder game/dan-ball forums are still alive? Because if they are... We can convert or affiliate with them and thus more members!
(The other forums I am talking about is the ones that was started around the time PG was updated so it had uploads. There are a 'forum' wars, where they advertised they're forums so much.)

The other relic powder game / dan-ball forums are either dead, or no match for the official one. I've seen several old powder-game forums, but they are kinda dead... some of the boards don't even have posts in them.

I wonder if Listo could get Ha55ii to post a link to our forums on the English mirror of the site... that would definitely get us more attention.

VIROS, we've gone over this before.
Maybe we add subliminal messages to PG? Nah.
