*3 year old trolling*
I feel the same about this as I do about facebook: Not everyone uses twitter.
Of course, we wouldn't have anything to put in it, anyway.

I don't see any harm from getting us a twitter, but really, will it do us any good?

I don't see why not.

It certainly would help people notice announcements more, and changes and possibly downtime, and might even be helpful in hax attacks. There's even a nifty FF addon that lets you see "tweets" quickly (link: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5081).

I don't have either one, but I'd say Facebook is much, much better.

Is that just because you have one? =P Twitter is good for short, quick, announcements that would help make things noticeable. If there was a contest then someone could announce it on Twitter and then contests might be a little more popular. It would just be helpful. I'm not sure how Facebook could help but I don't have one so I'm not in the position to say.

Let's put it this way: Studies show, that by 2010, 10% if internet users will be on twitter. 10%. One in ten. So impressive. [/sarcasm]
Having said that, who would have access to it? High staff?

Actually there are about 6,767,805,208 internet users in the world, 340,831,831 in North America, so that's actually a lot of ppl. Twitter won't be doing any bad just helping a little, so there's no reason to bash at it. Just because you don't like it really doesn't mean everyone else can't use it :/ Yes, the high staff would have access, and the other people could respond to "tweets" made by the account, but there wouldn't really be a point to responding since we have a chat.

Well, twitter is pretty much just for keeping up with something or something. facebook is more for interacting with other people and it requires much more personal information. Personally, it doesn't have much of an effect on me as i have both, but i think twitter would be better for more people on the forum.

It's not that I don't like it. It's that I want some good reasons to add something, instead of adding something for the sake of an update. I'm fine with the idea, I just want to make sure it's right for us.
