Good point. I only made those for a temporary problem... I move we just move them into the trash.

hmm, perhaps we should move them into general for public veiwing. Any thread that gets deleted for being old can go in there so people can still see it just not post, but threads that break rules will go straight to the trash.

Some of those threads, we don't exactly want publicly available...
Should we just sort through it?

K, so lets get rid of all the threads we dont want people to see from it, then move it to the general board. Then we can just make it the trash bin (in the code) and move bad threads to the actual trash bin (staff lounge) when we dont want them to go in there

Okay. So, we make a new board in General, move all the Archives stuff to either trash or the new archives, then delete the old archives board?

so is anyone actually going to make this new board? So that we can start organizing the threads?
(I think the new board should be above the special board)

Are there going to be sub-boards within the Public Archives, or will all appropriate threads simply go directly into there without any classification?

No classifications would be better.
Also, we dont need to make a new board. You can move existing ones.
In fact, i can do that and transfer the trash can code right now if you want.
FYI, make sure when you want to move a thread out of the archives, that you don't delete it, just move it.

Wait, we shouldn't transfer the trash code. We still want to delete things to the trash bin.

no we dont... were you reading the thread xD
the archives will be the recycle bin, and all the stuff we dont want in the archives will just be moved to the staff lounge trash can. This way, members can see all the deleted threads.

Oh no, that won't work one bit. We don't need staff members that try to delete a highly offensive thread and forget that it goes to the archives, or don't have time to trash it.
It's much more important to keep ourselves able to take care of spam and rudeness. After we delete it, we can decide if we can promote it to archived status.

yea.. archives are for old topics that can't be posted in and are just there for the sake of preserving our history...
but the trash bin is staff only for banishing rudeness and to keep proof that is happened.
So should we start moving the topics around yet?
