What of there were a Compo Item that healed the Ranger wielding it? It would either heal them when at a specific LP percentage, e.g, 25% LP, or it'd revive them with a little bit of LP. It would be able to be bought at some kind of resting place, like the Town or Village, and it would have levels, just like other Compo Items. Level 1 would heal by 25%, Level 2 would heal 50%, and so on. you would attach it to a weapon, and, once it is used, it would disappear.

healing: except the percentag, in what way would that be different to the ONIGIRI? reviving: that would be better, a you save money, but it shouldn't be a compo item.

For healing, I mean if the Ranger is at the percentage.

Does the compo item get used instantaneously upon picking it up from the ground, or does it occupy space in a compo slot until the ranger reaches a particular percentage of health or dies?

It'd be much better if it was an item that takes up space in your inventory. Then when you need to use such a potion just drag and drop onto the character in the window. (not as a compo) They could sell different sized potions. Small Pot. 25hp (Or by percentage) Medium Pot. 50hp (Or by percentage) Large Pot. 100 hp (Or by percentage)
There could also be special potions that give off a certain aura, like the mage. defense aura +2 defense for magical and physical attacks for 40 seconds Attack aura +5/10 attack for physical attacks for 40 seconds. (This would be for one character only or the whole team. I haven't thought to much into it.) The size of the potions effect the amount it does, like said before.

OK I'm new but this is my idea, how about you can pick up onigiri and store it?You can use it by double clicking on it,or click on options and set to auto heal(the normal way, just pick it up,waste it and go).You can also set it to manual heal which allows you to hold them in your inventory. When you use it and you only needed 1 LP to heal full for example,(or less than 20 percent of your LP)then the rest is put back into the stored onigiri which is shown in your inventory as an enlarged onigiri icon. When you pick up more onigiri, it adds up and has more or less added LP inside depending on the maximum LP of the stick man who picked it up.Oh,and the amount of LP in the single onigiri(which only takes up 1 storage space for more space for other things)is displayed by a number at the place that usually displays the level of a weapon (there should also be a maximum onigiri capacity such as 999).And one last thing, you can set it to max onigiri which leaves the onigiri inside your inventory even if it no longer has any LP to heal you so it is displayed with no number;unlike the other options, the manual heal option makes it so that your onigiri icon disappears until you get more onigiri and also disappears when you use all of the stored LP and you still aren't healed.

Onigiri's are ment to heal a certain percentage not an amount. I have a Health tank boxer who games 100+ health points when he gets one. While my other characters earn 20-50. I still think you should have to buy Potions to have multiple ones in your inventory. Onigiri's will be used for on the go pick up. Potion's will be used for close battles or on hard levels.
Like I said I think my idea's best. Don't get me wrong I'm not selfish nor do I think your idea's bad. I just believe my idea would be the best way to go.

It's OK,I agree with you on the slight flaw of my idea. Although I now say there should be a separate inventory(although smaller like the earlier version)made especially for potions but there would have to be changes made to increase the popularity of the use of potions and I also say that there must be a "VILLAGE stage" for potions. Many other changes for things would have to be made, such as drop percentage, costs of buying,or even medallions for increased drop percentage or cost lowering or something >:-().Thank you for this hopeful idea...
