Are there going to be different categories for signatures?
What will requirements be?
How will they be judged?
What will prizes be for different placings?
You should include some more details, and then this ought to be good...

It would be hard to judge these fairly, because there are many different types of sigs, and the judges might have more personal opinions than in other contests.

You should include some more details, and then this ought to be good... Answer time! 1. The different categories would be themes like retro, double focal, '80s. There would be one contest every week. I'd happily be in charge of it and be a judge so I'm not allowed to enter the contest. It would be called SotW, which is Sig of the Week. 2. There wouldn't be any requirements. Maybe just a post count requirement so lurkers wouldn't spam it up. 3. They would be judged on depth, render choice, flow and originality, which I would gladly teach to to the judges. They would be rated out of 10 and the one with the highest points out of 40 would win. 4. There would be a badge for first place and some DBs, second place gets half of 1st place DBs and no badge, third would get half of seconde place and no badge. It would only go up to 3rd place. Example: 1st gets 100 DBs and a badge, 2nd gets 50 DBs and 3rd gets 25 DBs. Wow, that was alot of typing. EDIT: Oh and bias is a no-no.

I think the sig's ability to function is also important if that is one of it's purposes

I never pronounce names wrong. People just want them mispronounced for some reason.

I don't understand that either... I approve this idea, and I was once a contest judge, if that means anything EDIT: by the way, there's no guartantee he'll win. He's still against Monochrome

I just want to give me an advantage since my sig is actually divided into several links to my updates, the Great Debate, my profile, and the BSGF

Wow, sig's ability to function all get a close-to-zero. Their main purpose is to look nice.

well, if the sig is MEANT to function, then shouldn't if serve a purpose in the scoring?
also maybe how clean it looks (not a collection of pictures placed in every direction. at least organized)

Maybe functioning (i.e. "linked" signatures) can have their own category for judging...

I still think organization is important

Mine wouldn't win... it's just a picture
A two month, eleven day revival without an entry isn't what this thread needs...
Wasn't a contest when i posted it
