I, artcoursecannon, am starting a Powder Game contest! The objective is to recreate a classic game that is well known and would be fun to play on Powder Game! I am also going to enter, because I am not going to be a judge!
The following games that may be chosen are: Backgammon, Battleship, Checkers, Chess, Chinese Checkers, Don't Break the Ice, The Dot Game, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Jenga, Kerplunk, Mastermind, Mousetrap, Operation, Reversi, Shoots & Ladders, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Yahtzee. If you feel there is a game we have not yet chosen that YOU would like to make, feel free to reply in this thread! =)
The following rules apply to all entries (even me):
1: Only one entry per person
2: all entries after October 1st will be disqualified.
3: Plagiarism (of other uploads/ideas) leads to disqualification.
4: Games not on the list or approved by a judge will be disqualified
5: The game must still have the same rules and objective(s).
6: Any other rules the judges would like to add. I know different games may be harder to judge, but maybe you could find a way around it.
Scoring was directly copied from general veers reply
25% Functionality: The game should rarely, if ever, fail. Anything that happens should be intentional.
25% Complexity: The game should incorporate a diverse variety of interactions without deviating from the game.
25% Playability: The game in its entirety should be capable of play by the judges.
20% Comprehensibility: The game should be relatively easy to control in respect to its complexity. A chess game might take more understanding of its controls than a Tic-Tac-Toe game's controls, but anyone knowledgeable of the game in question should be able to play it with the provided controls.
5% Aesthetics: The game should demonstrate a dedication to its visual quality. It should not look like a bunch of scribbles by a newborn infant.
Prizes that will be awarded to the winners:
;DGrand Prize Winner: 600 DBs & 30 karma
::)2nd Place: 400 DBs & 20 karma
:D3rd Place: 300 DBs & 15 karma
:)4th place: 200 DBs & 10 karma
:-/Participation: 20 DBs & no karma
Judges Feel Free To Change Anything You Want To Change Here! Oh and thanx for replying so soon! I was really wondering if the scoring system was fair enough, and I was wondering if you could help me in adjusting at a little.
