This contest has the generic prizes, time limits, and a bunch of other stuff I'm too lazy to copy and paste.
Through the ages, we have had multiple versions of dan-ball's history. From serious timelines, to the History of Danbael, to the Old Testament of Listo.
This contest is to retell the history of this website. Points are given for accuracy, hilarity, overall appeal, neatness in formatting, that sort of thing. You can retell it however you want, but it must be recognizable as the history of the forums.
I look forward to seeing your opinions of the contest...

I agree completely. This is an awesome idea.
All the current histories people have made are not very accurate. I've been here long enough to be able to write a good one.

...I like it.
Could you explain the "accuracy, hilarity, overall appeal, neatness in formatting, that sort of thing" plz.
I mean, put points to the categories.

Well, Ganon's is pretty darn accurate.
The point this is... well...
I'm more of a general-idea person, not a distributing-point-values person. Besides, I need someone else's opinion on this.

In my own opinion, I believe the historical accuracy of the tale should carry the most potential in score, such as 2/5 or 1/3, or maybe even 1/2. I think 2/5 will be good enough. Would this work? - Accuracy (40%) - Whoever competes in this contest will quite literally be writing history. Don't put in the wrong stuff or confuse chronological order...
- Creativity (20%) - Don't just retell the history of the forums like an encyclopedia...
- Appeal (20%) - When someone reads this, they shouldn't think of your tale as a text wall: they should think of it as epic literature, like the Giglemash or the Odyssey.
- Formatting (20%) - When someone reads it, it should look like it was made by someone who knows the English language, not as if it were a document lacking spaces, margins, proper punctuation when applicable, paragraph breaks, spelling, and grammar.
I was just thinking the other day how nice it would be to get an accurate history of the forums to put into the Dan-Ball wiki's article about the ODBF. This will be a good chance for me, who hasn't been here for the forum's first year, to get a complete historical reference...

Alright, that looks perfect, Veers. Veers, I don't know if you've noticed, but there is a thread in the staff lounge regarding contests. We have noticed that contests are not being approved and judged like they should. So Qwerty, Vacon, Viros, and I have volunteered to take up the duties of judging contests. Therefore, by the power vested in me, I approve this contest.
