FORUM RULES In order of importance, greatest to least. - Be respectful. Don't insult other members or treat them badly. Making fun of someone's work is also a no-no, as is "trolling".
- Be appropriate. Behave well, do not post offending content, such as nudity, excessive swearing, or excessive gore.
- Be honest. Do not claim someone elses work as your own, or say you're a famous actor when you aren't.
- Be grammatically correct. We're fine if English isn't your first language, or you don't spell very well, but don't "typ lik dis", as this is not a chat room.
Follow these rules and I guarantee you can be a great, contributing forum member.
Ozone gave me that. Remember when we were planning to add a rule summary to the top of the rules topic, so as to not intimidate? This is it. We can add it at the top and say that reading onward is optional. Opinions?

So, we can throw that in at the top of the rules topic.

So then this thread's purpose is done?
lock?

There's not really any purpose to locking staff lounge threads. We can just send this to the staff archives (i.e. recycle this).

Why was this archived? We don't lock OR archive things simply because a couple people have approved it. It's still open for discussion by people who haven't stated their opinions.

Sorry about that, I guess I was a bit too ready to "finish" the thread...
Does anyone disagree with putting these above the forum rules?

Qwerty, do you personally disagree with this? because its been 2 days. Anyone who objected to this should probably have said so already. Just because its a staff lounge matter, doesn't mean it has to be open for several weeks.

Two days. Believe it or not, some people have busy schedules.
I agree with this, but the thing is, we can't quite archive threads just because the rule has been enacted. That would mean archiving pretty much every thread in the staff board.

As a matter of fact, shouldn't we archive all of our finished, unstickied business from the staff lounge?

Oh, im sorry for thinking staff should probably be one at least once every two days... and im sorry for also thinking that when a staff member is on, they should check the staff lounge.
Isn't it you have to be on once every two days to get an active badge? I think its safe to say that our staff should be as active as most of our members.

Yeah, good point. It's just, relative to me, it was only one day when it was archived.

okay... this is going a bit off topic now...
If you guys want to discuss this a bit more, you could make a thread about it...
Anyways, are there any more staff out there who agree/disagree to us posting this short summary at the top of the rules thread?

Nice to see that not only has no one started archiving, but no one even updated the rules.

We were probably waiting for other staff members to agree/disagree (see previous posts), and then forgot about this entirely. Since we were waiting for more input, we naturally couldn't implement the summarized rules. A similar stream of logic applies to the archiving of this thread...
