"Begin researching space-fold technology that will let us traverse throughout the galaxy," Lord Kurai tells his scientists, "I feel it is time that we must reach farther and higher than ever before..."Tsuyoi developed (kilograms; 10 kilograms developed each turn, each kilogram worth 5 credits): 20 The Chuuritsu Empire begins researching in space-fold technology. (20% progress each turn)

Umm, yeah, I'm like researching better engines and stuff. Totally.
1/5 Progress. Or something. I guess.

Paradox was still on his way towards the Chuuritsu planet in his slow, slow ship. Judging by the rate he was moving, it would take about [4th wall]3 posts[/4th wall] to get there. As Paradox drifted in space, he soon received a message. Sender: Is anyone out there? Are we alone?Paradox: I am here. Please identify yourself.Working on Prism and Space-Folding Tech Development. 1 post = 5 kg of Prism. Current amount of Prism - 0 kg Like Kurai, the space-folding tech develops 20% every post.

MULTITASKING: Unlike NGI, which let you develop as many technologies as you want at the same time, Planetary wars will be more realistic. You will only be able to develop as many technologies at the same time as you have systems. (so someone with 3 systems could develop 3 technologies (remember that a colony is NOT a system) at the same time) COLONIZING: REMEMBER! You must tell me where you want your colonies to be. otherwise, I will pick for you. Just as a reminder: Colonies without any military coverage are sitting ducks. Ryx: The accepted engine upgrade rate is 5 posts. Weaponry upgrades depend on what you are asking for. Assuming you just want to make your existing laser turrets/missiles more powerful, that should take 5 posts also. If you want to research a new type of technology, you could use your best judgment. If you’re not sure, you can always ask me, I don’t mind telling you what to do . And remember, since you have one system, you can only do one thing at a time. New map: As you all can see, there is a newer, simplified map. Feel free to leave a message in my inbox or forum game chat do I can see some feedback Gold ships: Gold ships have not come out yet. I haven’t even begun calculating them and I won’t for the next 13 posts. When I do, the calculator will decide how many more posts it will be before the gold ship comes. Be on the lookout. The ship will come. Eventually. DOTS: I’ve come up with an analogy that might help some of the people with questions understand dot production. Think of systems as “dot factories.” Each or these factories can spit out 1 dot every 2 posts. The dots are produced at the system they were made in. Each factory gets to decide what kind of dot it makes next. Colonies are like factories under construction. You have to send colonizing dots to the colonies to make them grow. When they grow big enough (5 colonizing dots) they become a system. Congratulations! You will now be able to make more ships and do more things at once. Name Of Race: Faridians
Pros: This is an extraordinarily intelligent race. Their home planet (named Locke) is the only source of Ignosum, the mineral (which cannot be synthesised) at the heart of PMT technology (more on that later).
Cons: The Faridians, though being fast, are not very strong. They tend to be very fragile in the face of conflict since they are psychologically affected by any disturbance in their lives. In fact, a young Faridian may even die if they lose a parent, due to the immense dammage it has to their mental state.
Description/Planet Description/Material (I merged them for a nice flow): The Faridians live on the planet Locke. Locke is the only planet in the star system, it's configuration is much like Earth's except Lock's diameter is roughly 1.5 that of Earth's. The planet is covered in a fine sand which is impure Ignosum.
Ignosum is at the heart of PMT (Plasma Manipulation Technoloogy). Using Ignosum the Faridians have perfected PAG technology (Plasma Arc Guid). Using PAG technology youu can guide the plasma through which electricity flows. As electricity flows from an anode, through a gas, and too a cathode, it forms a band of plasma. Using PAG technology you can extend and bend the plasma as much as you want, though the equipment required to do so becomes exponentially bigger and expensive with higher voltages and longer bands of plasma. For example, a very large (one man rocket launcher sized) PAG gun for example can shoot a lethal arc only 100 yards. This arc can however be bent into any shape, so shooting around corners is possible. The Faridians, because of their hate of war, have only ever made PAG guns for defence. These guns are quite large however, and can reach into space. There is no recorded use of a PAG gun in battle, and the Faridians are reluctant to give up the technology (which only they posses).
PMT can also be used for propulsion (Magneto PlasmoDynamic thrusters, MPD thrusters), although these propulsionary devices are extremely efficienct in an atmosphere (99% or better), they are infeasable in space since they require a gas to operate.
The Ignosum sand is swept by winds across the planet. This has the effect of forming high dunes (more than two miles high in places). To take advantage of the winds, the Faridians have developed the monodactyl. The monodactyl is a vehicle which uses MPD thrusters to levitate and some more PMT technology to keep the vehicle from sliding laterally (it can go forward backward and turn but no moving side to side). The monodactyl has a single sail on top which likens it to a boat. As the wind blows the monodactyl is pushed along. With sufficient (and easily attained speeds) the monodactyl can generate energy from passing across the bands of slighly magnetized Ignosum. This energy is more than enough to run any on board equipment. The excess energy is stored in Ignosum cells (Ignosum tends to polarize when given the chance, a phenomena which releases electrical energy).
Appearance: Faridians are humanoid, though with pale blue tinted skin. They have six finger on each hand (there is an extra thumb like finger on the opposite side of the hand from the normal thumb), similarly they have six toes.
Government: The governmental system is two tiered, a republic with a senate presides over preserving the social contract. All Faridians fall under the social contract which states that each self declared faction of Faridians may enjoy the right to one senator. That senator's power is proportional to the number of Faridians they represent. It is the senators' job to agree on a form of government, and leaders to comprise it, which will preside over all matters other than the next government. The senators are responsible for choosing in such a way as to first, provide the Faridian's basic rights (Life, Liberty, and Property), second to provide equality of opportunity, and third, to further the long term success of the Faridians. The desicion is re-evaluated annually, and any Faridian faction may vote democratically for a new senator at any time that at least 10% of it's population has shown an interest in changing senators. The current form of government which the Senate has choosen is a monarchy, presided by Micro Farad.
Micro Farad has expressed an interest in trading.

I'm gonna go really slowly in this game, fyi. Kinda like China in NGI.
3/5 on da new fusion engines. Ayup. Those scientist peeps sure do know what they be doin.
Oh, and I totally sent a message to any nearby star systems (You know what I mean.) It's all nonjarific and stuff. It basically asks for anyone who wantsta open trade route thingies. Not that ______ would know much about those.

Sender: OH MY GOD! CALL THE SENATE! We got a return! LIFE! SENTIENT LIFE!!! We are the Cloians! Wait a minute...how do you know what we're saying?!
Paradox: I use a universal translator. It helps with communication with other races.
Soon, another message buzzed in.
Sender: this is a message from the Nonjas. Anyone who wants to set up a trade route with us is welcome to. Transmission over.

As I stated earlier, I would like a place on the map far away from everyone else, I would also like my color to be the background color of my avatar if at all possible. I would seek to enjoy the right to create a trading post, since this is my second post.

4/5. Fusion engines. Uh huh.
In the meantime, I'm producing those fancy dot things.
Instead of making a warship right off the bat, I'm gonna make a diplomatic vessel. Mmhmm. We're gonna be all peaceful and stuff in this one.
No point sending over colonization vessels when I can simply send a diplomatic vessel to the nearest populated star system.
That said, I begin producing a colonizer.

Colonizing ship complete. Fusion engines complete. I take those two thingies and I send my new and improved somewhat fast colonizer toward another star system, on the same arm but somewhat closer. Next turn, it shall be colonizing. I also get to work on another colonizer, and start a new project. Project 42: 1/

Um, the Faridians are feeling a little ignored since they are not on the map.
In any case, the Faridians would like to start major Ignosum mining operations. Micro Farad has also ordered the creation of a long range transmission center (in order to communicate halfway across the galaxy). I do not know how long it will take to mine 1 ton of PMT (Plasma Manipulation Technology) grade Ignosum (PMT grade Ignosum can be used in most devices such as thrusters, but only PAG grade Ignosum is pure enough for weapons). I also do not know how long it will take to develop the transmission center.

IMPORTANT! Posts are counted by PLAYER post. Not total amount of posts. *cough* skribbblie *cough* so, you increment your development counter(s) by one every time you post. EDIT: DAMN! I FORGOT YOUR MILITARY SHIP! It'll be there next update Reminder. No one has broken this rule, but I just want to make sure everyone understands that in each post, there can be ONLY ONE development slot per system owned. Mining, dot creation, message transmission, and dot moving (sending the dots to different places) do not take up development slot space. A “development” is anything that does fall into those categories Micro Farad, For the purposes of the game, we will assume that communication across the galaxy is instantaneous. If you really want to, a communications tower would be 5 -7 posts, but you don’t need to. You should use your one development slot for something useful. Oh thank you Izacque, that is a perfect spot for my system, isn't it just purdy? I would like to know how long my mining operation should take (maybe 10 posts?). I would like to begin developing space folding technology. I believe the progress on development will now be 0/5.
Outgoing transmission: Phantom Zero, this is Micro Farad, current leader of the now monarchial republic of Faridia. I would ally with you and your people in order to establish trade. Do you accept?
Edit: On the map you spelled Faridians Faradians. It is meant to be Faridians. Is there any way to fix this? Otherwise I just love it. The color is PERFECT!
