I did not think Whipper would ever get anywhere when I suggested it, Ithought people would say it was bad. Then a lot of people started commenting saying its a great class. I then gave permission for somebody to start a new thread updating Whipper. The new thread was very long and had a lot of detail. 3 weeks later Whipper made it in to Stick Ranger. Thanks everybody. Ps. What does Bullet do?

ha55iiAdmin Stick Ranger ver6.3
New class Whipper addition.
STR: The offensive power increases. DEX: An additional number of additional attacks goes up. MAG: To use an additional attack, it becomes it.
I have no clue.

Thread with revised suggestions here. Thread with original suggestion here. This may not be proof that programmers come here for ideas, but it's either evidence or quite an interesting coincidence with extremely low probability of happening. Thank you, Dr. Seaweed.

In general I am very unimpressed with the whipper right now, but when some new weapons start coming out my mind may change. (Similar to the gunner when it first came out.)
In other news, I enjoy games where the designers listen to suggestions from the players. I think that this pretty much ensures a long life for stick ranger, as long as the players can keep coming up with good ideas.
Back to the whipper, I noticed that his whip hits all the enemies it touches. This differentiates from the suggestions page. (Also, the rope physics seem a little wonky, but that might just be me.)
Can anyone confirm the critical damage, knock back, and cards that you can equip? (And what the bullet does?)

wow, a new class, thumbs up
but on the downside: why not put in a couple of more new weapons for the class?!? seems that stalling is their hobby... ok, 14 new weapons at once would be quite much (wouldn't mind though =P), but at least 3-4...
let's see how it turn out...
bzw, interestingly no enemy drops Stone Whip 1, but you can buy it at least...

Its kinda different to the suggestions. The Stone whip needs 10 MP and if they are reached, 4 Stones (like sparks from the spark glove) fly from the whip. For every 5 Dex, ie +1 bullet there is one stone extra. Thats what bullet does. There is no knockback and no critical. The only cards that work with the two whips are Vampires, Onigiris, Quick's, Berserk and Gold Rush Card. That doesn't sound too familiar and Whipper sounds bad enough that ha55ii could have come up with it himself... I somehow guess he just read the name and started working. I see no proof he took any idea you suggested, besides the class itself - yet. *edit* The second whip currently is only buyable in the shop. There is no monster that drops it. *edit2* Correction: The bullet card does work with the stone whip.

disabled is right, there is no knock-back or critical ability to the whipper. (That I see) But perhaps he thought that would not be good as an ability and rather a single weapon that knocks-back.
Granted it made it in, but so far it's not... my favorite class to choose. Not until more updates come out for it and I learn more about it.

Whipper is not a great class right now because he is still new and only has 2 types of weapons, they will add more next week and he will get better.
Ps. What does Bullet Do?

I love the physics involved and the way they handle their whip so professionally, but they die in the last level of opening street so all in all, What is the point?

they will add more next week and he will get better. Right, that means no real update to the rest of the game in the next time... What do you think? You know how the stone whip works? Well the bullet card does add flowers to the whip, they make the enemy fly around and their head grows when they hit the ground.

OMG, 4 priest can't kill the first boss, that must mean they sucks. Honestly...No duh. They was not made to be a boxer class (we already have that) The range and speed > power which in my eye is a good trade as the bullet skill + bullet cards = spark glove-like effect + the weapon real effect (like fire when it come out?) So spark glove with a fire-like ability, if anything they may become over powered. I don't think of them are a melee class, at least not right away. I would treat them as priest and train them for a while. Maybe give them the weak stones to give a boost.

I am disapointed that ninja wasn't the third new class... Oh well, I guess I wasn't supposed to have more than 2 right predictions anyways. I see a poison whip and a freeze whip. A fire whip could light the end in flames I guess. same with the other's except they do what the element is.

Was hoping fire whip would act like the stone whip but with fire. (See: volcano orb)
I guess your idea could be chosen but I hope not.
Anyway I completed the opening street stage easily without losing a whipper.
All 4 whippers were lv7 and had no str. Dex stone and white stone. So basically I kill the boss with hp alone, so no excuses.
I got the stone whips and planning to get a str stone and see how far I can get. (If anything I would get a lot of money for the weapon update.)
I honestly think the whipper class is godly as a newbie can't mess them up. Sure putting all of your points into dex or str would be dumb but as long there a blue stone, technically you could be the biggest nub and still have a usable whipper. All of the stats are usable and good, heck a balance whipper would still put up a good fight.

Indeed, increasing the bullet stat would increase how many stones are released from the stone whip. Maybe it could launch stones of poison or fire?
